A Marshall JCM800 with Groove Tube 6550's and an EQ pedal sounds fucking ace! There's nothing wrong with Mesa, that's what I use and if you spend time with it, you can get some very awesome tones from it (using the KFK-1 EQ, there's even more to achieve!). Hog, you HAVE to play the various amps that interest you, it's all taste. That's the best way to choose. If I was buying another amp (if I didn't have the Mesa), my list would be: Mesa Dual Rectifier ENGL Powerball Randall Warhead X2 Krank Krankenstein Krank Revolution Peavey 5150 II Peavey 6505 (may not be ANY different to 5150 II though) Mesa Boogie Mark IV Framus Cobra Diezel VH-4 (very expensive mind) Marshall JCM 800 2203 Marshall JCM 900 SL-X Bogner Uberschall I'd try those if it was me, and we have similar music taste!

They ARE all high gain amps yes, but they don't sound like a Recto! They sound good yes, but different.

I've got a Whammy Pedal. They are muchos awesomeness! Schechter looks cool. If it was me I'd change the passive EMGs but that's your call.

I use a Mesa Single Rectifier Rect-O-Verb Combo. It does the trick and is mighty loud! Being a 50 watt, I can crank it and get those sweet tones at slightly lower volumes than what the Dual or Triple would need. I too use ESP guitars with EMG's

I've yet to try a Powerball but have heard many things (people I know praise it way too highly ) A Diezel VH-4?!?! Jesus dude, you must be raking it in! How much are they over here though? Cos I know they are $4000 in America. What made you decide on it? Clips? Or the fact that the riff master James Hetfield uses one?! I'm happy with my Mesa Series II Rectifier! The 'fake' character was the one that owns all! He wasn't in many of the SF games, but in that one (an old SF to be fair), he did kick maximum arse! Other than Fei Long, Ken was the win for me. I prefer him to Ryu.

In my prime (couple of years ago) I was pretty good at Street Fighter. It was Super Street Fighter II Turbo that was my domain and I don't think I've ever lost at it to anyone. Fei Long was my usual suspect, those flame kicks and the 'Rekka-Ken' kept me whupping arse!

I was sitting around blasting out Blackened, Trapped Under Ice and the likes and realised that I'd love to play them live! Same with Angel Of Death, War Ensemble and so on! I play rhythm guitar. Anyone else interested in this?!

Culter bus drivers are legends! I'm on that bus almost every day, and had Matt Lucas driving the other day. It's so funny, he's even more like him when really concentrating on the road. I couldn't stop laughing! There's also that little mole type guy - an older guy - who just glares at you and squints and moves close to you whn you show your all day ticket!

Most random thing to happen at a gig wasn't really that random but meh: At Slayer gig in October, they're playing 'Disciple'. It comes to Hanneman's solo and a kid about 15 and a little shorter than myself runs into the centre of a GIANT moshpit and just throws his arms around and looks like he's having a fit. So, a huge guy (bodybuilder type stature) just runs up to him, swings with his right arm, catches him clean on the nose, kid's face is splattered with blood, and he runs off. I didn't see him again for the rest of the set.

Arch Enemy - Doomsday Machine 'Tis very good, I bought it having only heard 'Nemesis' but was not let down. 'My Apocalypse' is awesome! Also, I ordered Pissing Razors - Pissing Razors.
