Gay gay gay gay gay! I was in Glasgow and missed it. After asking for Vader and Cannibal Corpse as well. Need to hope they are there next time, cos I will be!
As much as I think Hanneman is ace, King is better IMO. All Hanneman's solos are the same (granted, I like them all!) but King just varies his more and I like that. He also remembers them live! At the SLayer gig in Glasgow last October, Jeff just did the same solo for most songs lol!
Last he heard me I was all for thrash (i.e. Metallica up to '88 and Slayer). Since then, tastes have gotten heavier with Cannibal Corpse and the like coming into play. Could use Captain Tom's. Also use my friend Stuart (drummer)'s garage and/or my own garage. James
Yeah you do. My Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition in Manhattan Midnight Fade is Custom Shop. Very few Standard models ever have been Custom Shop, but there are such things, other than the 59 reissue that is.
Yeah! Think Slayer meets Machine Head meets Cannibal Corpse meets Pissing Razors meets Slipknot meets Pantera meets Damage Plan meets Vader meets (1983-1988 ) Metallica. Interested? James
I use my floyd (on my ESP KH-2 NT), but not as often as I'd like to. I'm into Vader alot and their solos are similar to Slayer's and that's some of the playing I like (when it's done well, it can sound good....honest ). I have my ESP tuned down to standard B at the moment though so it's a wee bit less stable for the super extreme diving. And it isn't that hard to restring! Just tune up a semitone from what you want it to settle at, leave it half an hour, then go back and fine tune and you're ready to rock hehe. James
Phil Anselmo - Pantera Rob Flynn - Machine Head Being a metal person - in my honest opinion - no metal band could have a better all round vocalist than Phil. Just my opinion. (Awaits this post getting shot down) James
My favourite kinda stuff is best done by: Metallica Slayer Pantera Machine Head Megadeth And for my other stuff, the best are: Cannibal Corpse Nile Stampin' Ground Pissing Razors Superjoint Ritual The Haunted Entombed Zyklon
Anyone have any comments or reviews on this amp. I have nowhere to try it but going from many soundclips people on other messageboards have made for me, I'm quite resolute on wanting one. It does what I need it to do (from what I've heard). Just looking for extra opinions. It will be running through a Marshall 1936 2x12 cab. Cheers, James
