  1. I'll be there but I must admit I may come along a wee bit later than usual as Taurpis Tula kinda did my heed in the last time they played. Just the kind of reaction Chilli loves eh?
  2. Anyone remember the DC album cover made of sandpaper?
  3. Supposedly the biggest festival in the world so why having watched the BBC coverage did it seem like there were only about a dozen bands played it? Too many repeats of performances, limited or no coverage of other stages and too much inane drivel and sycophantic Glastonbury backslapping between the presenters.
  4. Bollocks! Where was he playing?
  5. Off the top of my head and knowing full well a lot more will come flooding to me later. Oh and in no particular order either: The Broken Family Band: Welcome Home Loser Herman Dune: Not on Top P:ANO: Brigadoon Soulwax: Any Minute Now (may be last year, can't remember) Brookhaven: Transitive Verses Arcade Fire: Funeral (since its UK release was this year after all)
  6. The Arcade Fire were amazing in Glasgow a few weeks ago. At the moment I'd be scared to have them support me as they are capable of blowing any headliner off the stage. Don't miss this opportunity.
  7. Thomas Truax is a genuine one-off. Please don't think of the home made instruments as a gimmick. They aren't. As Alan says, the songs are strong enought to stand alone. However they to add to what is always an entertaining show. One of my favourite live performers.
  8. I'm very glad Thomas is headlining. Nothing against Sgt Buzfuz but in Aberdeen Sister Spinster rules. The world is now as it should be.
  9. Here lies (insert name) Honest man Cheat him devil If you can
  10. Tonight's Comedy Lab presentation, Skin Deep, on Channel 4 features The Broken Family Band's "Devil in the Detail" as the theme tune. It's worth staying up just for that. Although I'll probably just set my video as I get sleepy before then.
  11. Just got a free compilation from Expel Records in San Fransisco and jolly good it is too.
  12. Thingy by Whatstheirname Fityemaycait by Whoojymefluff Ohateen by yekenfaamean etc etc I'm hopeless at remembering track names. And band names. But rest assured these aree all great songs.
  13. Brigadoon by P:ANO Canadian Indiepop at its absolute finest. Shades of Belle and Sebastien, The Magnetic Fields and that band that everyone reminds me of but for the life of me I can't remember their name. 25 tracks in the space of about 50 minutes. Pure pop perfection.
  14. Come on Graeme. The gauntlet has been well and truly laid down.
  15. The man is a born entertainer and his stories were as good as his songs. Did anyone else have a dream last night about the imposing Swedish woman?
