  1. I think A Story in White is my favourite album of the decade. With Sleep and Release being a close second.
  2. I really like my sony nwz-s639f. Holds about 300 albums, battery life of 40 hours, good sound quality and you dont need to install anything on your computer to use it. You just drag the albums you want to put on it into a window that opens up when you plug it into your computer. Mine cost about 100 and I have had no problems with it at all.
  3. I love music that gives me goosebumps. Some of my favourites include - Sigur Ros - Untitled 3 from ( ). Absolutely beautiful track. Love how it builds. Andvari from Takk is another one. Talking of Sigur Ros, Jonsi's Riceboy Sleeps project is lovely. There's a track called All The Big Trees in particular. Red House Painters - Funhouse. The bit when that heavy bit comes out of no where. Love it. So many other RHP tracks as well. Strawberry Hill, Katy Song, Byrd Joel, River, Smokey etc. Aereogramme - In Gratitude, Will You Still Find Me, Motion, Conscious Life For Coma Boy, loads more. The Cure - Plainsong Bat For Lashes - Siren Song, Bats Mouth. Brian Eno - Another Green World Other bands/artists that have tracks that give me goosebumps include Onelinedrawing, American Football, Kate Bush, Sun Kil Moon, M83, Low and many more.
  4. I got a cd from Citizens and I really like it. More vocals would of been good but I still really enjoyed them. Been listening to the SYE stuff I bought at the gig non stop. Still cant get my head round that guitar playing! No idea how he does it. I spent most of the gig watching him and just thinking "HOW!?". Also looking forward to seeing Carson Wells again.
  5. Awesome gig! I'm still in disbelief how the guy from SYE was getting such a great sound from a guitar with only 3 strings.
  6. I get a stupid amount of these fake requests on bebo. I've started to report them for spam so the pages get deleted. I hope I am single handedly destroying the bebo porn spam industry.
  7. Going to try and make it along to this. Want to get back into going to gigs and this one looks like a good place to start.
  8. Was anything done to the basement? Saw it was closed for a while last week.
  9. drive like jehu - yank crime sun kil moon - ghosts of the great highway converge - jane doe jawbox - for your own special sweetheart the cure - join the dots bat for lashes - two suns (vinyl)

    Pet Hates!

Coffee served in a glass. I want it in a mug or a cup, thanks.
  11. I quite like the Press & Journal, but what annoys me is some of the absolutely pointless and unnecessary "In Brief" storys they print, such as one today which says: "Celebrity Big Brother winner and Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty yesterday said she thought reality shows had been "overdone"." Apart from a little picture of Shilpa Shetty, that was it! The whole article! Why did they even bother to include that? Is this going to interest anyone? Okay, print stories that aren't just from the north of Scotland, but at least go with stories that have a bit of substance to them!
  12. Get in the queue, huw! I got a pm in last night although I guess i'm not the only one. I REALLY want a valve bass head.
  13. What buildings which are not on that list would people like to visit or get a tour of? I'd love a tour round the broadford works on maberly street. Would be interesting to find out what happened in each of the buildings, what the towers were used for and a bit of history about the place. I know a little but I'd like to know more. Something about that place really fascinates me.
  14. I was in nice n sleazys a while back and ordered food and noticed it was craig b in the kitchen cooking it. It felt strange having a man who's written and played on some of my favourite music of all time cook my burger. Felt like I should be offering to give him a hand or something. It was a good burger though.
  15. Most definitely. In the blog on the myspace they said they had recorded drum parts so I'm wondering if there will also be electric tracks or if it will be mainly be an acoustic based project. But either way I'm sure it'll be ace. I'm just happy they are still making music. Cant think of anything they have been involved with that I've not liked/loved.
  16. Album out next year apparently. Cant wait! Will be interesting to hear what the other stuff is like.
  17. Just saw this on myspace. Sounds promising. Looking forward to hearing more stuff from them. The Unwinding Hours on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
  18. That pawn shop further up george street (Aberdeen Pawn Brokers I think its called), does it have a bit through the back with more stuff or is its entire stock whats in the window? Which is normally along the lines of a couple of guitars, a fishing rod, an ornamental dog, a cd player from the 90s and a samurai sword.
  19. Who was the guy that played in the house band at the live jazz at kef? Think his name was maybe fraser? He was a fucking ace drummer. Could watch him drum all night.
  20. I've managed to get a few bargains in cash converter due to them not really having a clue. Got a now discontinued boss DD-5 delay pedal for 30. When they first came out they were around 140 and they seem to go for around a hundred on ebay. The cash converter in glasgow was selling second hand behringer stomp boxes for about 25 - 30. You can get them new for about 15.
  21. Botch - We are the romans. Best fourteen quid I've spent in a long time.
  22. Selling my girlfriends pink Marcy Pour Femme exercise bike. Has a little monitor that tells you the RPM speed, time, distance, calories burned and pulse rate modes. Hardly used. Can deliver. 70?
