i hated my marshall avt. the drive channels were horrible. really thin sounding, no power at all. got rid of it and got a nice second hand fender valve amp for less than half the cost of the avt. didnt get much for it when i sold it on though.

yeah, thats what i did. covered a bit of wood with velcro and have my pedals and power supply on it and it works fine for me. saves lots of time setting up at gigs/soundchecks as you dont have to connect all your pedals together or have to remember what order you have them in!

this would do the job POWER BANK 6 WAY SUPPLY FOR GUITAR EFFECT FOOT PEDALS on eBay, also Tuners, Accessories, Guitars, Musical Instruments (end time 29-Nov-08 12:22:46 GMT) i have something similar and its lasted me well. i also think you can power pedals of the boss tuner pedal, although i have not tried this.

at the moment im enjoying the bass line from arpeggiator by fugazi a lot. also a fan of the bass part in indescretion #243 by aereogramme and there are lots of cool bass lines on the pink sunny day real estate album.

i hate this demo here - as he has a nice ampeg amp but instead of playing bass through it he plays a cd or something. this guys demo annoys me as well YouTube - Gear Dork Weekly 2/6/2008 and i really hate the gearwire.com demos.

im not too sure about stage times yet. im hoping things will start quite early so people could maybe come along before errors at snafu but at the same time dont want to start things of and having the first band playing to no one. we'll keep you posted.

yeah i quite like the ashdown, just would like something that gives me a bit more grit and drive. will be quite a while till i can afford to upgrade though. what sort of ampeg do you have? might take you up on the offer of a shot of it sometime!

at the moment just having a clear out to get some extra cash due to some unexpected bills, but once they are all paid and out of the way im going to start saving for a new head.

its doing good thanks! really like the sounds i can get from it. compared it to the guitarist in my bands non modded blues driver and it sounds so much better.
