fault and fracture were ace. can't wait to see them again. they are so good for a band that have played hardly any gigs. both kartta and greater the shadow were brilliant as usual. definitely my favourite all local line up gig of the year.

i just took a chance and bought one of these they are 80 new but got one for 40 on ebay. i've not heard it but i liked the description of it and i really liked the sound of the valve distortion pedal my mate had. his was for guitar though, but im hoping it will sound good. more info on it here Dave Hall Amps - Products, ValveTone 1 Bass

i've just started listening to isis after i found a copy of oceanic in a charity shop and i love it. what should i get by them next? also are the red sparrows worth checking out? heard good things about them too.

i'd be running the sansamp through an ashdown head (mag 300 i think it is) and an ashdown 4x10 cab. i do like the sound of my amp, but im never happy with any of my overdriven sounds which i get from a digitech bass overdrive(i don't like it at all), boss odb3 and a h&k warp pedal (which i do quite like the sound of). i'm liking the look of those rack units. been having a read about them and they look good.

any idea how much the rack one would be? or could i maybe use an eq pedal or something to boost the mids? although stepping on two pedals at once whenever i wanted to use the bass driver and not lose mids could get annoying... i also saw a programmable one, any idea if its any good?

i was thinking about getting one of these, how do they sound? i've not found one anywhere to try it out. also would i need a special power supply for it or could i just power it of my powerbank thing i use to power my pedals?

that strung out shop is really good. some really cool second hand guitars, pedals and amps in there and really friendly staff. as for gigs, 13th note is a good venue/bar.

what about an eq pedal like the boss one? i've used one as a boost pedal and prefered it to using an overdrive pedal to boost my sound.

anyone got a boss blues driver pedal they could sell me?

thats whats confused me though. on the front of the pickup it says duncan designed, but on the back of the pickup it has the epiphone logo engraved on it, so if its a duncan designed pickup why does it have epiphone on it? or is the back bit with epiphone just a cover or something and not the actual pickup? i thought that maybe the pick up wasn't duncan designed at all and was just an epiphone one with a cover on it saying "duncan designed".

yeah, thats the only thing i can think of. although i would of thought if epiphone found out they would not be too pleased that their pickups are being used in another companies guitars? i didn't change the pickups, just tightened them up as they had come a bit lose. its a lovely guitar, really like the p90s. gives it a nice wide range of sounds. feels good to play too and it didn't cost much at all.

i took the scratch plate of my squire tele custom to alter the pick ups. when i looked at the back of the pick ups (duncan designed p90's) they both have epiphone written on them. i thought this was a bit strange what with squire and epiphone being totally different companies. anyone know how these pick ups ended up in my guitar? only thing i can think of is the factory my guitar came from assembles both epiphones and squire guitars. so was just wondering if anyone had heard of this before or if its just my guitar?

i just found a leaking pipe in my flat and want to get it seen to. looked in the yellow pages but there are so many plumbers i don't know who to chose. can anyone recommend me one?
