  1. turns out if you click on your name in the chat room you can have a private message conversation with yourself. I need to get out more...
  2. I think there is but it was a third hand rumour I heard. I'm on holiday that week so I hope there's something happening so I can make the most of not getting up on monday.
  3. there's an interview with dedalus on Planet Sound today (tuesday). Teletext p356 on C4
  4. my costume arrived today. it's ace. just need to make some finishing touches before the night itself.
  5. I'm squishing your head! Great stuff.
  6. yes. what people are willing to pay for a pint.
  7. I got the drinking one (amongst others) from the same band... via email. Never sack someone by email. It should be done face to face really. And tell them the truth, it's the only way to do it.
  8. Adopt a guitarist today! We currently have one rescue axeman available, 23 years old, with lots of gig experience and a suspect beard. Happy to play with others and housetrained. Would suit both a new or already established home. Fed on extensive diet of metal and rock, but likes occasional blues and hardcore treats. To adopt this guitarist either reply here or send a PM.
  9. I think that was the point. the other point about "who the fuck goes to gigs in aberdeen?" I think was taken from other messageboards and not realted to the NME pullout. Perhaps I've misread the original post though.
  10. this is the same pile of wank that's editor once said there were no decent bands in scotland, and he wouldn't feature any band from there. A year later Franz Ferdinand have come along and they can't get enough bands from glasgow to stick in their shit encrusted rag. Fuck em.
  11. I'd assume it was someone from Nomad AM. it's a shame planet sound don't put their reviews on the net. It seems a shame to have to catch them on one day only.
  12. I think the mix for the dedalus tracks is superb. Definitely the best sounding stuff I've heard come out of exile and better than most of the local CD's I've heard over the years. The lyrics are far better than their early stuff as well (like aforementioned everything's gone to hell) and I haven't noticed anything wrong with the delay settings or the sound in general either. If you don't like the songs, fair enough, but I don't really think there's any substance in your criticisms of the technical side of the recording.
  13. don't suppose you can put up the rest of the review? Think it was only up yesterday.
  14. hmm. I'm quite tempted by battlefront. Bought star wars galaxies but was a little disappointed. this could be better.
  15. from union street turn off onto crown street at the bank of scotland then take the first left onto windmill brae. You'll pass sizzlers on the right. a little further down is moshulu. alternatively turn off union street at bridge street (woolwich, millets on the corners) and then take the first right and follow the road round onto windmill brae and then walk up the hill. you'll pass the bassment and moshulu is next on the left.
  16. remember to always practice safe sax.
  17. only if you buy me breakfast.
