  1. there are dedalus songs online at the old nomad am website http://www.nomadam-records.co.uk/media.htm bomb
  2. woo! ticket arrived yesterday, ah one two three four, hup
  3. gutted is the only word to say nomad would like to thanks drakes thoroughly, its been a great time for us at drakes before and during the nomad times... as many people in aberdeen it was the few of us as well that really felt that it was our "home" as it were. it was a brilliabnt testing ground for new ideas, ive always kept to my belief that if a band finally sounds good in drakes they will sound brilliant anywhere. (not anything against the sound techs was looking forward to the abysmalists show in june with a huge blowout but nevermind. i hopethat whatever happens you all go on to keep on inspiring aberdeen by putting on shows that noone else would ever dream of putting on but should. good luck. nomad and clive ravensby x
  4. i would agree with neil ex. you cant compare the two. especially when one has a lota lota money to make things sound better with and the other hav e their instruments and maybe a litle bit of drive to make some music. i would prefer listening to dedalus if it came down to it though.
  5. ill be daring and say the politik/dedalus split ep
  6. it has pictures, two pictures. surprisingly theres one of each band. anyway, you can get a snippet of the review at the nomad homepage, newest news bit has got a few words on what he thought about dedalus, and a few on politik. check it out at www.nomadam-records.co.uk/home.htm
  7. lovely review anyone know where indigo flow are based?
  8. yeah im paul. clive Ravensby is little dick, cliveR is big paul
  9. worth remembering that the teletext review on planet sound was for BOTH dedalus and politik. and they have been both been getting great reviews, see www.kittenpainting.com for example. the reviews somewhere in there. and to stress my opinion. i dont thikn politik sound very sonic youth at all. theyre politik and theyre nice.
  10. i was there too. i dont have insane hair though. i have silly idle hair. but i know who you mean too...
  11. may i state for the record as co-part of nomad am (we are alabel, dedalus are on this label) that heather is indeed the full-time occupational manager for dedalus. she is on a very attractive salary.
  12. howdy. the dedalus/politik split E.P has been named demo of the week for next week on Channel 4's Planet Sound tele-zine. For those that missed it (including us at nomad am as they didnt bother telling us it was on0 here was what they said originally.... "its surprising the two scots bands have joined forces for their own EP, as Chemikal Underground and Mogwai's Rock Action have done far worse gloom rock. Politik do excellent tranquil art rock, but joe is a tad whiney and mannered. Dedalus are faultless, continuing the Joy Division/The Departure lineage of sleek dramatics to perfection." the new review thing will be up on tuesday, on page 354 i believe, and it will feature a little interview with dedalus (ive seen the questions, dont get too excited) anyway. this was for everyone who wanted to know exactly what was said and never found out.
  13. you can still catch dedalus though.... 21st of october Bannerman's in Edinburgh (for anyone that hardcore to get down to the burgh) with POLITIK + Local Support more details to come.
