  1. Glad you like! Its a Moog Source. We have a Little Phatty too. They are very nice!
  2. Anyone coming to this? Doors are at 7.30 and tickets are 7.00. If you don't know who the Pipettes are, they are 3 girls in polka dot dresses who have a unique 50s/60s doo-wop sound. 'Everybodys favourite polka-dotted princesss The Pipettes follow up top 40 smash Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me with a new single, Pull Shapes' www.myspace.com/thepipettes Support from Dan Against the World: Having recently recieved airplay from Radio 1s Vic Galloway, Dan Against the World utilise pop hooks, vocal harmonies and noisy guitars in contemporary college rock music. www.myspace.com/danagainsttheworld
  3. So, who's all going to this one? I think The Pipettes are awesome and are making quite a lot of progress with recieving quite a lot of airplay on Radio 1, Radio 2 and MTV in the last few weeks.

  5. Oh, and for anyone that might be interested, Vic Galloway is playing a track from our new EP on this show on BBC Radio Scotland on Monday night between 8.00pm and 10.00pm. Thanks
  6. Re-directing it to our myspace is just a temporary measure as our previous site was taken down due a change of line-up. Our new site is currently under construction. We've just booked a date for our end of July tour at a venue with Fiction/Action and the excellent Stirling based instrumental quintet Site of Future Rome. Details to follow!
  7. Check out 'In a Safe Place' by The Album Leaf. Beautiful post-rock featuring members of The Black Heart Procession, Sigur Ros and Mum. Spent much of the weekend acquiring and searching on Ebay for more equipment for my new post-rock project. In the next few days I should have a new Cello Bow, an Alexis Quadraverb GT (quite old but the delay and reverb sounds are pure bliss), an Ebow and a melodica. I'm still on the lookout for an electric organ, however this is proving to be somewhat difficult due to limited funds. Been writing solid with Cameron who was previously with Stirling-based outfit, The Site of Future Rome. Not sure if anyone up here will have heard of them though. Looking forward to that post-rock compiliation you said you'd make up for me Stuart Ciao
  8. Done. It must be another band with regards to Q and not U.

  12. this winters is this music? magazine contains a lovely live review of the Edinburgh launch party that was held at the end of October. page 26 i think, check it out.
  13. Broken Sunshine I like Broken Sunshine. They sound nothing like any of the music i'm listening to right now but I am a big fan of good pop music. They have a long way to go before they are anywhere near the finished product but the potential is definately there...some of the harmonies on the single are fantastic and the songs aint bad either. Mark showed me some recordings a few months back and I was impressed. He has done fantastic job with the single..how did he get he manage to get such a great guitar sound?! When I recorded at Exile with The Gloria Flaw in June I used a Gibson SG through my Marshall amp and it doesn't sound anywhere near as good! I was a bit shocked with how young Broken Sunshine are when I saw them playing in 1-up a few weeks ago..but this is to their credit. With patience and the right attitude they are more than capable of making an impact on the local scene and perhaps further afield in the future. Are their any Broken Sunshine songs up for download anywhere?
  14. INME are so generic...such a terrible band. As I said earlier, I never made it to the Forres date. However, from what my ex-bandmates and other friends said, X is Loaded are really nice guys. However, everyone I spoke to though thier music was terrible. I can't really comment though as I have never heard anything they have recorded or seen them play.
