Lemonade
Fuck. That's terrible. Probably safe to say that's the end of her driving career then. Pretty much never going to be compitetive with no depth perception.

Chris
It sounds like such a strange accident. The car was moving slowly at the end of the test and then just accelerated into the back of a truck. I assume it was a malfunction or she was taken ill. Terrible for someone getting their big chance in an F1 car.

Terrible for someone getting their big chance in an F1 car.Looking at the pictures from it, the tailgate was just exactly at helmet height, she probably took most of the impact on her head and neck. Could have been a fuckload worse. Think of Henry Surtees for example.

MattJimF
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhiIDNUXmz0Not often you see Horner on the backfoot during an interview. One good thing about Sky is that they have two drivers who have been stewards, so can call the incidents as they would if they are stewards. It's also kind of satisfying that Red Bull are worrying due to things not going how they want with their blue eyed boy.
Chris
It's funny seeing him try to justify criticising Hamilton for trying to unlap himself when he's the fastest car on the track.
Lemonade
Big chance for D'Ambrosio this weekend. Don't remember even being that impressed by him when he was at Marussia, and he's got a hell of a performance marker with a very quick Kimi Raikonnen in the other car. Though he can't be much worse that a lot of the cucumbers on the grid at the moment.
Chris
Good that they finally punished some of the terrible driving there's been recently. The crash at the weekend was awesome horrific and Alonso in particular was lucky it wasn't a lot worse. Grosjean has been involved in 7 first lap accidents in 12 races. Obviously something wrong there.Maldonado's also been punished for more terrible driving.

I've been impressed with Grossjean ths season but didn't realise he'd got into that many scrapes. Maldonado is a fucking tit who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a Formula 1 car. See also: Petrov, Vitaly.
Spoonie
F1 needs maniacs tho. I love that there are these super cool under pressure guys and then this loose cannon fleeing about in amongst it all. You kind of want them to be in the Lewis Hamilton/Ayrton Senna mode of fearless/reckless tho, rather than guys who are just rubbish

Kobayashi is a good example. Tries overtakes other drivers wouldn't dream of but doesn't crash in every race.
framheim
Webber's a good example too. absolute demon at overtaking where you don't expect it. When kobayashi first appeared he was pretty daft and did some dodgy moves, seems to have calmed a bit though.
Spoonie
Absolutely, but the odd crash makes you look mental and keeps people away from you!
MattJimF
So Hamilton to Mercedes, Perez to McLaren and Schumacher to ??Will Schumacher move upstairs in Mercedes, or is a shock move to Ferrari for a year on the cards for him?
Captain America
Hamilton just seems more interested in being a celebrity and furthering his "Hamilton brand" than being a racing driver. Really makes me dislike him even more.
Lemonade
Well that was a bit good. Classic race. Still can't see past Vettel for the championship. Started last today, had to make an extra pit stop and still finished like 2 seconds behind Alonso.
MattJimF
So after the drama of Brazil and the weather conditions, Vettel may not be 3 times world champion due to overtaking under yellow flags. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20531638

It would be terrible for the sport if Alonso wins the title on a technicality.
MattJimF
Yeah, it's pretty obvious if it had been noticed during the race, a drive through wouldn't have affected the end result, but Red Bull would have probably done the same had the situation been reversed.
Scootray
A drive through would have cost him around 20 secs. The same as the punishment that could be applied.
MattJimF
But it was at the start of the race - lap 4, then you had the safety car and the Torro Rosso and Schumacher letting him past easily, plus all the retirements.
