Jaaakkkeee
The Chariot are meant to be recording this month with it being released in August. Canna wait. Between them and listener, their latest efforts have been my top albums since I heard them. So this should hopefully be good.
Flights
"Where were you when Russell Brand discovered fire, did you join with the crowds in Trafalgar Square and watch it on the big screen?". Genius. What?THOOO DEEP
Old Gold
Future of the Left have a new album out on May 28th. If this is a marker of the rest of the album then I'll be very happy when it's released.I haven't listened to them in aaaaages. That's a fucking boss track. Soda Jerk
I like the video. It reminds me of when Homer helps Mel Gibson make his film better, by putting the opening sequence in fast motion, because it's funnier that way.
FOX
Their bassist seems to spend the whole video spinning around.Edit: Also, FOTL are signed to 4AD?! Since 4AD have made themselves known with bands like Explosions in the Sky and Bon Iver that seems more than a bit weird

FOX
!!!WhutUh, Explosions in the Sky was my mistake. Bon Iver are signed to 4AD though. I must have been thinking of Efterklang or something...
Surfer_Rosa
I meant more that they "made themselves known" more than 30 years ago. Plus they've had plenty alt-rock in the past so it's not that odd a pairing with Future of the Left. They've released a pretty eclectic range.

Alkaline
Goodness, my apologies for the choice of wording then! Christ's sake, get outta my throat.Nah, if it hadn't been for the fact that you sidestepped the Pixies entire career with your initial post it would've slipped right past me.
FOX
Nah, if it hadn't been for the fact that you sidestepped the Pixies entire career with your initial post it would've slipped right past me.Considering all of the Pixies' albums were released while I was still a sperm cell, I think you might be able to excuse me for not knowing their history. Plus, I'm not exactly a big fan.

Plus, I'm not exactly a big fan.As surfa_rosa said it was just the matter of fact way that you posted like 4AD hadn't been responsible for anything of note until Bon Iver appeared. I find personally that if something i like is on a particular label i'd look into other acts on that label and their back catalogue to see if there was anything of interest. I guess that would at least make me aware of who was on a label to an extent. If you don't do that currently it's worth a punt 'cause you can unearth some total gems (i don't mean to sound patronising with that at all by the way).
Old Gold
He deserves a leg breaking for knowing more about Explosions in the Sky than the Pixies, I reckon.

It's perhaps worth a shout, even if it's rendered a little moot these days given that a lot of bands are on massive labels covering hundreds of artists. But yeah, I keep up with Wichita's happenings thanks to Los Campesinos being with them so that's probably a start.I think that you need to sort this out!I'll admit that my lack of being a fan is due to not hearing a lot of their work. I do absolutely love "Debaser", but obviously not enough to listen to much else.
Swingin' Ryan
What?THOOO DEEPI don't know what this means, is it an internet thing? Is 'THOOO DEEP' a kind of sarcastic way of saying 'The lyric is really deep' but as if the person saying it had a lisp?Assuming I've got that right then you are right, that line is not deep, it's just funny. I quite like funny things.

Paranoid Android
I don't think it's streaming yet, it just leaked into the interworld a couple of days ago. Official release date is pretty soon though so it wont be long until it's streaming.
