You really believe Tevez is just concerned about his family?

He talked about missing home when he was at United. Then he made that big move across the world to his current club.

Why wouldnt anyone believe that? He is not going to make any more money anywhere else, infact he will prob take a pay cut no matter where he goes, Man City are playing champs league football and challenging for top honors so moving to win trophies doesnt make sense, and at the end of it all he was prepared to move back to Brazil, so he is not pushing for a move to Real or Milan, he just wants to move somewhere where hopefully his family can settle.

It is possible City offered him more chances to go home than Man U did, they prob offered him a private jet or something, he prob enjoys playing prem league football and thats why he gave it another shot.

Wish Tevez would just fuck off. This news about the transfer stalling is a disaster.

All the transfers are stalling. Modric, Nasri, Sneijder, Fabregas, Tevez. Even Darron Fucking Gibson to Sunderland is stalling. Transfer windows are stupid. They shouldn't be open so long. Too much fannying about.

why, he never demanded to leave West Ham or Man U, infact he wanted to stay at Man U, it was them who got rid of Tevez. As far as i can tell this is the first time he has asked to be transfered from any club.

Not true.

He was outraged at West Ham for attempting to block his "dream move" to United in that 3rd party nonsense that dragged on forever. Then when at United, the club said they would negotiate a deal at the end of his 2nd season. Tevez was offered a contract, but he declined it, because Berbatov and Rooney were ahead of him in the pecking order, and he didn't want to fight for a place, so he rejected the contract. He claimed he wanted to stay, and kept kissing the badge and sitting on the bench literally crying for half a season, but changed his tune instantly when he was finally offered a deal. He couldn't have been offered a deal midway through the season because the window wasn't open. What was he expecting? He's undoubtedly the biggest whinging prick in football.

Two week transfer window. That'd sort all this shit out.

exciting season ahead for you guys, hopefully AVB gets the time he needs to put together the next gen chelsea team

It would be great to keep a manager around for a while. I didn't want Ancelotti to go but I'm happy with his replacement. Hopefully he is given some time.

It'd be like Supermarket Sweep. or when M&S have a sale and people camp outside then run riot when it opens. It would be great. Absolute carnage. Carnage is better than "30m?" "Not for sale" "So how about 30m?" "Not for sale" "31m?" "Not for sale" "15m plus unwanted player who doesn't get a game" "Not for sale" "So, 30m?" "Unsettling our players. Complaint filed" "29m?"

This made me chuckle... a lot. From The Daily Mash.

Mancini to buy entire Arsenal squad for a laugh

ROBERTO Mancini will purchase every member of Arsenal's squad, with the obvious exception of Eboue, just to see the look on Arsene Wenger's face.

After his signing of Clichy and the bid for Nasri enraged the self-proclaimed 'Professor Of Third Place', Mancini will continue buying the rest of their former teammates every couple of days until Wenger performs an as-yet-unnamed forfeit.

Mancini said: "By the time we get to Bendtner, it's going to be obvious we're just taking the piss, but to be honest that's just going to make it even better when we follow it up with a 21m bid for Almunia.

"It's going to be difficult to keep a straight face when Almunia holds up a City shirt up, especially as he will drop it several times - but it'll be totally worth it."

Mancini has also asked City's billionaire owners to buy Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and rename it the 'Arsene Stinks Of Piss Stadium' as the cherry on the top of his elaborate prank.

Footballologist Wayne Hayes said: "To draw a Panini football sticker analogy, Wenger is the kid who carefully buys a packet every now and then and makes the most of the players inside whereas Mancini is the flash kid whose dad just buys him a whole box of them to keep him quiet.

"The current disagreement between them is the equivalent of Mancini getting Wenger in a headlock behind the PE block and demanding he hand over the few cards still in his 'need' pile."

Despite Mancini's prank injecting hundreds of millions of pounds into Arsenal to rebuild the squad, the money will be useless as the Italian plans to follow Wenger to every transfer negotiation and offer an extra 50p on top of whatever Wenger bids.

I dare say he doesn't know much about anything.

Enjoyed the Dons game last night. Mawene and Gonzales look like great signings, couldn't really judge Osborne, good to have Foster back, the young guys coming through look good - particularly Robertson - and Pawlett looks like he's going to tear the SPL apart if Villarreal don't put in a bid for him before the window shuts :D

All this English pish and big money 'will he? won't he?' transfer speculation doesn't interest me. Money, money, money. The SPL is where it's at. Godspeed Saturday! Starting line up for St. Johnstone game?

Difficult to tell. It's weird having a bit of strength in depth for a change.

"You only have to look at the Aberdeen bench to see the sort of quality we were up against. I don't think we disgraced ourselves despite the way the scoreline looks" - Derek McInnes, 23/7/11.

Quite fitting that Darren Mackie missed a sitter last night whilst celebrating 10 years of missed chances and opportunities at Aberdeen FC.

Have heard we played not bad though, so sounds promising.

a lot of folk have been saying he missed a sitter, it didn't look like a sitter from the south stand. the ball was played ahead of him and he was at full stretch to connect. it trundled wide but was a hard pass to convert. i thought he played well last night.

looking forward to saturday now!
