Panda Strong
Maybe i'm just an old man, but this Twitter business seems pretty much the biggest waste of time.
Jeanette
What is it?
Neil
If you can imagine SMS'ing random people around the world telling them what you're having for breakfast, that your walking your dog etc, but all online, then that's basically what Twitter is. Utterly pointless and thus hugely popular.
RossP
Is it anything like StumbleUpon? As i'm really rating that
Neil
Not really, as StumbleUpon is actually useful. Here is a brief description from Wiki:"Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length.Updates are displayed on the user's profile page and delivered to other users who have signed up to receive them. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends (delivery to everyone being the default). Users can receive updates via the Twitter website, SMS, RSS, or through applications such as TwitterMobile, Tweetie, Twinkle, Twitterrific, Feedalizr, Facebook, and Twidget, a widget application."Or just sign-up and try it yourself: Twitter: What are you doing? Jeanette
I think I'll give it a miss... Facebook, Bebo and Myspace are enough for me!! Haha.
Sam 45
I'm considering a switch to Facebook as i'm getting pretty annoyed with the masses of spam coming through Bebo at the moment.
RossP
I'm considering a switch to Facebook as i'm getting pretty annoyed with the masses of spam coming through Bebo at the moment. After 2 or 3 years of Bebo, I've signed onto the Facebook community. Probably prefer it now.
Jeanette
I like them all for different reasons. Some of my school friends are only on Facebook and vice versa. I used to find Facebook really boring, but it's not as bad as I first thought.
Neil
I'm working on an aberdeen-music Facebook application just now, which I'm sure you'll all be excited to hear.
TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
I'm working on an aberdeen-music Facebook application just now, which I'm sure you'll all be excited to hear. How much of a geek does it make me that I'm actually quite intrigued by this?
Scootray
I've only just joined Facebook the other day after years of Myspace and then Bebo. I never use Myspace anymore, but bebo is handy for speaking to the people I know.
glennbuchan
I deleted my bebo and I'm not getting facebook. Wasted so much time on that website
Jeanette
I deleted my bebo and I'm not getting facebook. Wasted so much time on that website That's the point. It's only good for time wasting. Lol.I found them to be fantastic aids when I was writing my dissertation!!
Adam Easy Wishes
MySpace got shit when it tried to copy Facebook.
stuartmaxwell
twitter is actually a really useful tool for businesses in the creative community and further afield. Lots of people I work with in the Life Sciences / Biotech community also use it
jcn
Bebo is far too buggy now, facebook and myspace is the way ahead imho.I'm really intruiged by this aberdeen music facebook-y thing, though I am quite geeky when it comes to computers and interwebs. Old Gold
I think twitter's very nice, although I often wish I had more to contribute to it.
DJ Jo-D
got bebo, myspaz, facebook but hardly on any, good for catching up with people I rarely see...altho nae quite getting into facebook, so much more open than bebo i think? Also joined Twitter last week, but cause arlene was raving about it, not used too much but might as I don't get access to Bebo/Facebook on here Is the new facebooky/adbnmusic gonna be work friendly? kirsten
I only joined Twitter because Graham Linehan and Stephen Fry were on it and I got intrigued. Plus, one of my friends said "It's so pointless, you'd love it!" which I took as an insult before, but have learned to love it...It's very sweet though. Very inoffensive and as good as facebook for the ol' procrastination.
Frosty Jack
Isn't it just 'facebook status' without any of the other interesting stuff?
Old Gold
Isn't it just 'facebook status' without any of the other interesting stuff? If you find constant invitations to events, gigs and applications you don't care about and tagging yourself in photos from drunken nights out interesting, yes.

kirsten
Isn't it just 'facebook status' without any of the other interesting stuff?Pretty much. But this way you don't annoy the hell out of people by constantly changing your status.
