Has anybody else lost all optimism for the new Season now Ando has gone?

Not too despondent. Still going to buy a season ticket. Anderson will be missed but we'll still be decent.

Diamond is a bit shit but I have some sort of affection for the lad. I look forward to him coming off the bench just to see what he's going to do. Fall on his ass? Break someone's ankle? Go on one of his mad surges up the right flank before falling on his ass or breaking someone's ankle?

Yeah, I had actually left by the time they scored the penalty. They did well to keep in to 3, we got a real doing, 2-0 down within 5 minutes or something.

The only decent players that night were Scott Brown (only in 2nd half), Steven Whittaker and i think Naismith had a pretty good game too. Score was 3-1 (maybe 4-1?). It was the friday before the full team played against the Faroes at Parkhead (amazing weekend).

I'm looking forward to the new season

Mind you we haven't just lost our Captain and 1st choice center half..... wait a sec.... ?(

Nope, can't wait. New faces and all that. Could end up being a very strong team. I do fear a little floundering around at the back until things settle down without Anderson though, eek...

Thought Zander (or Plug from the Bash Street Kids as we call round here) was shaping up well toward the end of the season. Needs firm leadership on the field though.

I'm pretty tempted to go to the Arbroath v Accrington game.

There's quite a few Jags nipping along to say a proper farewell to King Kenny Arthur. And you've got the added bonus of being able to say that you've seen Accrington Stanley.

Who are they?

Exactly!

Early candidate for 'most hideous home top of the year' is Forres Mechanics!

Ach bollocks, De Vries is away to Wales, joining Mason in the ever-growing list of defectors who are actually good. We're good for enxt season though, Greg Paterson has signed a new contract...

That's the age old problem though - get relegated and be prepared to have the best bits of your team ripped from you. When we went down three years back, we lost James Grady (best striker) and David Rowson (best midfielder, could yet be coming back), and fell to bits the season after. Having said that Kenny is a very good manager, but don't expect too much, because this league is murdur........

TEVEZ TO MAN U ?????

few newspapers today are reporting man u have arranged a deal for tevez. if this is true fuck me they are going to be good pounditupdatedtz3.gif

Fergie signs Tevez | the Daily Mail

United close in on Tevez as Ferguson leaves rivals in the shade - Times Online

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Man Utd | Man Utd close in on striker Tevez

i've been hearing about this as well. doesn't seem like the most logical of purchases to me, he's very similar to rooney in how and where he plays on the pitch. surely utd would have more use for an out and out striker/poacher in the mold of Van Nistlerooy or eto?

I'm much more excited about the prospect of seeing Torres in a liverpool shirt I have to say:up:

The Ex-Don? He still exists as a footballer? Where is he playing just now? What a shit career (unless he's actually had a successful career in Europe that I've missed?).

De Vries was a good keeper for Pars apart from that blunder that basically put the nail in the coffin if I remember right.

I hate the close season when there's no Euro Champs or WC, reduced to talking about David Rowson and Dunfermline goalkeepers

Released by Darlington at the end of last season, apparently he wants a move back north and he's joined us for pre-season training. I think he'd be a good signing, we didn't realise how good he was until he'd gone....

Partick Thistle? Sorry if that's not right, I did do some internet investigation but it seems naebody cares who David Rowson joined for pre-season......
