  1. Granted, this is a single not an album, but i came across this when having a clear out, almost binned it because of the sleeve, glad i didn't, it's a cracking tune
  2. because of the size of that list, i was able to check out bands that i would not have heard of otherwise if the list had been shorter, so it was useful to me, i did not make my judgements on the bands because of the nature of the list, it is more of a directory of some of the best. also it does not make the list "less prestigious," as being recognised by Vic Galloway in itself admirable, if the list had been 100 bands to watch in 2010 it would not have made a difference in anybody's books. the main thing is congrats to all the local bands that made it onto the list, especially Cast of the Capital, as they are an extremely hardworking bunch of lads and deserve a great year.
  3. recording is fucking ace quality, good job guys, hope this is a success
  4. this will be brilliant. when we played with Kashmir Red here it was great fun, hopefully this becomes a regular occurance and over time brings the beach ball room back into the scene as a respected venue. hopefully should have the renovations complete by this time. every band here are brillant
  5. i like "flawed" much more than the other one, it's a cracking tune. give us a buzz when your playing in town
  6. Really looking forward to seeing Free Korps and the Cinematics should be brilliant as well, i've heard great things
  7. 30+ cans of beans collected, Saucy's getting a bloody big bath. Awesome gig, Craig Davidson was fantastic, best i've ever seen the Elizabeths, and CCJ were fucking amazing. Check them all out
  8. a games a game. watched a film called Waltz With Bashir, which was animated, and documented the Isreali cival war. And that was considered a masterpiece. The people that will 'rip that to shreds' will be your typical socks and sandles wearing readers of the daily mail. its just vice city all over again...
  9. oh i see, you could always just claim that you were "researching" the matter
  10. 'Lights' kind of reminds me of the Elliott Smith style of recording vox, but you've done it without ripping anything off at all, its completely original. I really really like the tunes you've got down there, particularly the acoustic version of the curator's track. Keep it up, and we'll maybe see you soon chief
  11. Played with these guys in Glasgow, decent live band. Give Hen at the Tunnels and Cafe Drummond a shout guys, either that or there is a guy called Ross who runs a promotion company called AGP and he might be able to sort something out for you lot.
  12. I thought they played shit hot as usual, i really enjoyed it. Alex kept the crowd going the whole way through. Thought the support was dire though.
  13. i just got one from draconian, great guys, helpful, and they spend time with you in the designing process. i did find them a little disorganised though (as far as telling me when to come back), but it was worth the small hassle in the end
  14. numerous sources state that mine is "i wanna sex you up" ...
  15. some nice words there chaps, glad you lot are making an impression
  16. aye, people seem to forget that they were the result of a talent competition, it's amazing how long they have lasted, compared to others such as liberty x, didn't rate them at all like. but girls aloud, now they are one of my main guilty pleasures on my ipod
  17. i agree with everything in the above /\/\/\/\ in the second heat we didnt sell a single ticket or get any votes because it was a ridiculous amount of money for our mates to pay, never mind people that we don't really know that come to see us
  18. i heard that they're going to be playing every song on doolittle (to mark the 20th anniversary) and then numerous tunes from the greatest hits i suppose. got me a ticket for this, well chuffed
