  1. Go into control panel, and click on Internet Options. Click on the "Security" tab. Make sure the "Internet" globe icon is highlighted. Click on the "Custom Level..." button to bring up the security options for your browser. Search through the menu for the "Active scripting" option. Make sure "Enable" is selected. Click the OK button. Close this window and try youtube or myspace again. hope this helps you out
  2. cool, what internet browser are you using there?
  3. this happened to me, go on to youtube and try and watch a video. does it tell you that javascript is turned off?
  4. probably just a cheaper price to be honest, but then how would you make any income. the majority of people probably don't mind paying a little bit extra to practise in order to support the local businesses such as captain toms, and musical vision. i don't think there really is a need for another venture like this in aberdeen, not only have you got tom's, musical vision, and the foyer for practising and rehersing, there are a number of great studios in the shire, for example exile. on top of that i've heard about people who have independant studio set ups in their homes who offer to record bands.
  5. these lads are rather good, seen them in Nice n Sleazys in Glasgow, they are definitely worth hearing live, i don't think their recordings do them enough justice
  6. just to raise the tone again: why do cows wear bells? because their horns don't work!
  7. thanks guys, i'll get on that when i get in tonight
  8. hey guys, currently using a Toshiba Notebook Satellite Pro. Unfortunately I had to reinstall Vista, so I lost all my programs. Upon installing the new drivers that i downloaded from the Toshiba website, everything seems to be working fine... except the program that is "Toshiba DVD Player." Whenever i try to open it it displays the message: "Module(s) needed for this application is(are) missing. If restarting the application does not fix the problem, please reinstall the application." Neither restarting, or reinstalling the application works, the driver is as up to date as i can find. I am keen to try and fix this because I have tried downloading patches so i can watch dvds on media player in the past, but i don't like using that program. Any ideas would be helpful, otherwise has anybody got any recomendations for any alternative programs (free) i could get instead of toshiba dvd player. cheers
  9. that happened to us back in the day at the foyer as well, it was as if they were doing as a BIG favour to let us record the tracks
  10. that's great man, i love the description of yourself especially. bravo!
  11. when i'm old, i'll talk about the hard winter of 09/10 | Facebook ...
  12. that's the best cover i've heard since franz ferdinand covered gwen stefani. fucking brilliant indeed, well done.
  13. you know some people believe that the ice age is not completely over yet, and that the reason that the ice caps are melting is because the ice age is now coming to an end
  14. its really grinding my gears that the weather has been the main story in every newspaper and news channel for the last couple weeks. no sign of it going away for a while either
  15. his little pink purse looked so innocent... i wish i could have zoomed it in to get a close up of his eyes
  16. good point, doesn't matter if the letter doesn't get published, the worst that can happen is that she might use your criticism as fodder for a bunch of nonsense lyrics and the set them to a 12 bar blues.
  17. this is very true for the "top" charities, off the top of my head im thinking about the oxjam gigs that are organised for oxfam, which you are right are very inventive, and successful. but there are hundreds of less well known charities that employ television adverts as seemingly their only means for funding, concerning these charities, one MAY be dubious to where the money is going.
  18. i agree with the above, but what i think Robert is trying to say is that there are so many of these adverts compared to the past, and since many of the charities have similar aims, it is difficult to know which one(s) to support.
  19. hahahah no paddy is too lazy, he'd just do it himself and insert a smiley face
  20. that sounds awful. im sure they will do it properly at rr as they seem to be experienced at the more unconventional requests. my mate got his balls pierced there, he said he had two girls doing it... one to hold him down... now that's service
  21. retro rebels are very clean, and whats more are very reasonably priced. you don't usually have to make an appointment, they will just sort you out on the day. i've had all my piercings done there
  22. im going to give them a chance because i've been grateful for bands reforming in the past as they've given me the opportunity to see some of my favourite bands that i thought i would never get to see such as the pixies, ratm and the who: only one of which was a complete and utter disappointment! so hopefully i will get to see soundgarden live at somepoint. just waiting for nirvana now..
  23. i don't want to be a cynic, but i can't help feeling this might be for money: Chris Cornell stated on twitter: "The 12 year break is over & school is back in session. Sign up now. Knights of the Soundtable ride again! www.soundgardenworld.com" they were a great band, i love them, didn't care so much for Cornell solo, or in audioslave
