  1. This'll be good, they're maybe not what everyone's into but I went to see them at barrowlands the other weekend and it was excellent, really good night
  2. OK thanks for the help, I'll check that out!
  3. There's only one on this one thankfully, it was about 250 quid when I got it so not too expensive a guitar. Anyone got any tips on how to do a truss rod adjustment (a decent web guide or something) or would it be best left to the professionals?
  4. I've got a 12 string acoustic that has started buzzing on the 1st and 2nd frets and slightly on the 3rd but only the top E and bottom E strings. It stops buzzing if you flex the neck a bit but this obviously isn't practical when playing it. My dad thinks it could be it needs a truss rod adjustment but he's not sure. Anyone got any ideas?
  5. aye, cullen skink OR French onion soup with lots of cheese on the top
  6. Any chance of getting Kid Koala to the lemon tree sometime? I've just been thinking about previous triptych shows and saw him at one a few years ago and it was amazing - would love to see him again
  7. I'm hoping to go to Krakow in june and maybe NY in october. was gonna go to tokyo but postponed that til next feb
  8. I'm pretty disappointed with the album to be honest, loved the first 2 albums but this one doesn't do it for me.
  9. Your IQ score is 129! Like a meticulous collector, you've fed your brain a unique set of facts and figures over the years and this makes you a Facts Curator. Whether or not you intend to absorb every piece of information that comes your way, your mind is a sponge for knowledge. The words in your head could almost fill a dictionary, and you're equally adept at manipulating numbers and detecting important patterns in number sequences.
  10. Bank Action Group - everything you need to fight the banks is here - EVERYONE has got their money back so far: http://www.bankactiongroup.co.uk/forum/index.php
  11. Food in Carmine's is really good but they do rush you so they can get other customers in. I used to go for lunch once a week and I'd always go back to work with my mouth totally burnt cos they bring out your main course before you're finished your started if you're not quick enough - and its absolutely roasting!
  12. I think the yeah yeah yeahs album is great. But I don't think I'll be buying the new flaming lips one. I got the last 2, I liked soft bulletin although I rarely listen to it anymore and the same goes for yoshimi. They're good but I don't really think they're as amazing as they're made out to be to be honest
  13. Secret Machines - Ten Silver Drops The Streets - Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living Liars - Drum's Not Dead Saves The Day - Sound The Alarm
  14. The new hong kong on auchmill road is excellent, crispy duck is really good, and the honey chilli chicken and crispy chilli beef. Sticky prawns and salt and pepper chicken are damn good too
  15. Work - 40% (listen to my ipod all day) Home - 40% Car - 15% Live - 5%
  16. I've heard you've got more chance of winning the lottery than catching bird flu
  17. Mull Historical Society @ Lemon Tree 1st time they played, 2000? Kid Koala @ Forum, triptych 2003 - amazing Public Enemy @ Music Hall 2004
  18. Webb Brothers at Lemon Tree in 2000 I think
  19. I thought they were arctic monkeys when I heard them, but then I've only heard arctic monkeys a handful of times and they're shite
  20. Perhaps if they phoned the friend who had looked after the kid on other occasions before going to the police or starting a major search it might have avoided all this. Or maybe thats too obvious?
  21. Its a lot mellower than Fever To Tell but a bit more consistent I'd say as well. Some more nice guitar work although its not so in your face as on fever to tell which is maybe a bit disappointing but after a few listens it sounds better
  22. I'm loving this album, Dudley and Deja Vu are probably my favourite tracks just now
