I don't go out and see bands anywhere near as much as I did a few years ago. I put this down to spending money all too frequently going to see fairly insipid and uninspiring bands, with audiences full of dickheads. now i guess i'm residually offput, so if I'm ever tired and swilling about something, like Friday's gig, I'll often just pass up the opportunity and return to my laboratory. These days I tend to make time for the gigs I really want to go to, and then, (gasp) comme si par magique! it always turns out to be a good night. Maybe a negative way to look at things. Maybe not, as instead I spend most of my time in my 'workshop' constructing robotic manbeasts of the future - an army of enchanting hybrids of flesh and metal - and getting my feet rubbed by my boyfriend.

I completely do not understand the point of releasing another version of an album you did however many years ago - which appears to sound not all that dissimilar to the original record - other than to cash in on a few greasy pennies to fund your 'non-recording hip artiste' lifestyle as your life slowly ticks by and your forehead mysteriously gets larger every year, whilst your ovaries shrivel. oh.

I hate it too. I have two six hour plane rides coming up in a fortnight. I'm extremely paranoid of getting a DVT for various legitimate reasons I can't be bothered typing out. I'm also terrified of crashing, and in fact on any plane ride or high speed car journey I obsess over what would happen in different crash scenarios. I've never told anyone that before. How confessional the internet is at 1am with only two goldfish for company.

Gavin Rossdale was painful to watch, and very greasy looking. The archangel gabriel was even more painful to watch, yet not so greasy. The lesser of two evils, perhaps. I do remember thinking it was okay though, and there were some cool bits although I don't actually remember what they were. Matrixy bits. I was particularly annoyed by the wrist slashing faux pas YOU CAN'T HOLD A BLOODY FAG IF YOUR TENDONS HAVE BEEN SEVERED GAAAH.

I like her music but am also massively irritated by it. She sounds like a witch. A nice witch though I guess. The sort that makes love potions, and bakes cakes. I can't really listen to more than a few tracks in a row. I have a similar theshold problem with Devandra Barnhart (sp?). It's all a bit twee.
