  1. I hadn't even planned this at the start of the week, but I got that 'Goldry Bluszco' finished unexpectedly early, a quick polish up of some other stuff, and suddenly, some kind of digital EP thing has emerged. Mondragon, stick it out now, then comes the trying to interest the world part. If anyone has any ideas on that, 'twould be smashing.
  2. Knew that some people would see last weeks Kelvingrove minkathon, and think it was a good idea, rather than some 10th circle of hell. YouTube - Kelvingrove Park riot 2011.04 (Royal Wedding celebration in Glasgow)
  3. ^ "I should have never updated iTunees" or Cuttlefish and Asparagus
  4. I agree, it was that 'Execution of Gary Glitter' prog, that was the final nail in the scaffold, so to speak. I'm always firmly anti death penalty, but hanging is just bad barbaric shit all round. They should be able to electronically switch body systems off, or something, but they shouldn't do that either.
  5. Aye, Old St Nicks centre wis the harbinger of doom aa'right, my dentist got huckled oot o' existence, and George Street's fate was sealed. Trams, thats what Aberdeen needs, its going well for Edinburgh, no? Or a name change, Uberdeen perhaps...Book review: Strip the Willow, by John Aberdein - Scotland on Sunday
  6. Woop alert etc, I was going to sit on this one a while, because I've only worked on it twice, including last night, but any more might balls it up, so a fuzzy Mo' Hop Melodo-breaker, with a half-speed vibe. Goldry Bluszco (2nd Session mix) by Mondragon on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free Mondragon Multiverse Baleful Eye Some re-jigs and reworks also imminent.
  7. Well that is shit biscuits all round. Whither hast thou gone, city of mine youth.
  8. After a bit of thought, I've decided that while it is never nice to be celebratory about a killing, the fact that OBM had time to reflect/gnaw/shite it while awaiting his certain fate, is about as close to justice as you can get in an atheist universe (which I think it is, obv). He knew they were coming to get him as a result of his murderous actions, and there would be no bargaining or escape, some truly deserved psychic/karmic agony for a bad person.
  9. I don't dislike the Beatles, just think they are, per capita* overrated, and got massively sick of people exempting them from critical appraisal, and bumming them up endlessly. But, yeah 'Back...' is only their best in my weird musiverse, my honest opinion of their best, fuck knows, Strawb Fields prob, due to successfully carrying off an ambitious arrangement. *Amount of ace tunes to amount of tunes I hate.
  10. Beatles- Back in the USSR Todd Terry- Blackout Black Sabbath with Dio- Neon Knights Queen- Another One Bites the Dust (for the funk, I fuckin hate Queen generally) Pink Floyd- Money (for the funk, I fuckin absolutely hate Floyd utterly) Oasis- Supersonic (I fuckin Hate etc) Stone Roses- I Wanna Be Adored (I etc) Thousand Yard Stare-Comeuppance (album is very ding indeed) 'spose that'll do for now.
  11. Not so much hate, but Leftfield, 'Release the Pressure' ..."I've got to stand and fight, in this creation" sounds like he is bemoaning the outfit in which he has to stand and fight, always. Shit, where is the great lyrics thread, I always remember more of them.
  12. If ever there was a time for steaming in gung-ho, that was probably it, fuck letting that scummer take you down before he cops it. The time with the hostage rescue, you are correct.
  13. It's good, in that it is a real boost to Obama's re-election hopes, and he was a genuinely malevolent human who would have all the men in the west missing various limbs within months of a worldwide caliphate, and all the women in the kitchen wi' a cloot on their heids. Thankfully he is as much of an anathema to the mainstream of Islamic opinion as those god-hates-fags Westboro chursh lunatics are to that of the West. Perhaps after a cleansing catharsis, like a sting removed from flesh, the US can start to get a bit of genuine perspective on foreign affairs, and compel the Israeli govt to make possible a 2 state solution for Middle Eastern peace. Another case where religulous extremism is preventing accord, by building stuff on stolen land, etc etc. But it isn't nice to celebrate death per se, unless of a personal revenge nature, so NY, fair enough, nothing is as simple as we'd like it to be.
  14. Mechanicals are for recordings, not songwriting, per se, I'm almost certain, owned legally by whomsoever paid for the recording. All the shit the're moaning about needs to be agreed in advance, producers often get points, whatever fuck thats worth nowadays. Sounds like their chieftan has a grievance, probably drummer for the White Heather Club, wants his merch rights like Ralph Malph. Happy Days actors are suing for merchandising revenue? What merchandise? | Media | The Guardian
  15. There will always be some patchy eps, but even they will have enough actual content to be worth 20 mins of my time any day/week. Speaking of which, day off for Feudal Obesiance day plan A = Herb + New South Park x 200 Motels. EDIT New ep good- key quote "I should have never updated itunes" in Japanese accent. Saw some hun rajjes on the street (Byres Rd) waving a tiny plastic Union Flag, trying to be mean, bizarre.
  16. Great job, I loved it well, well that and the skiving and drinking opportunities.
  17. AV if implemented carries the very real probability of preventing the Tories ever having a parliamentary majority again*, which is a very good thing. And Cons are less likely to wield the power of the tactical vote, so win/win. *unless they get 50% or over of the popular vote, in which case, its a fair cop guv.
  18. From one of the best concert vids ever, my first intro to the majesty that is...
  19. If Coon and Friends meet Cthulu or Creme Fraiche didn't do it for you, then the new shit won't either. Better than any HBO crap too. Man, I hope they film their Mormon musical some time.
  20. According to Mr Twig we are only about 13 hours from series 15 of South Park, thank fuck, 'twas a long and unamusing winter.
  21. Just because a bit of land is bisected by an area of water, that does not make the area bisected an autonomous island, just as Islands with causeways don't unbecome islands, and turn into peninsulas or promontorys. And that goes double if a human did it, always wandering about moving stuff, the humans.
  22. Also, this, in fact it's good when Scotland lose at Rugby, as all the bum-faced chaps get despondant, and that's funny.
