  1. In Liverpool. So their idiot-core, "beatdown and brutality" two dimensional hardcore is absurd, they were shit when I saw them in Leeds, and the new album ain't great, but went to see them again last night. They were AWESOME. Playing a room the size of Kef, pit from front to back ("side to fuckin' side!"), it just WORKED. Limited tough-guy limb flailing, crowd out for a good time and band tight as fuck. Some brilliant banter ("HatebreEd don't condone violence, but for this next song, WE DEMAND IT!"). Fun for all the family.
  2. Set Your Goals fucking suck. Go listen to CIV and Gorilla Biscuits instead. (Actually, if you got GB to play I'd move back to Aberdeen)
  3. Yeah, love 'em. "All Ages" was my first purchase, and saw 'em headline the Warped tent at Reading YEARS ago.
  4. Bright Eyes - Cassadaga Clutch - Beale St To Oblivion (FINALLY arrived) Team Sleep - S/T The Wildhearts - The Wildhearts (pre-order)
  5. Holy crap, Verse, GOAT, The Wildhearts and Gallows will all be fucking great. Make sure you all go to Verse.
  6. Clutch Deftones The Wildhearts Converge Pantera Rocket From The Crypt Jonah Matranga Godflesh Sick of it All Supersuckers
  7. Hooray! Stripey hates it, therefore it's probably ace!
  8. Hog, saying you like Bury Your Dead is SO uncool...... And obviously Pantera > Machine Head.
  9. So the undead thing is getting a little overplayed, but this is AWESOME! CIMG1866.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Wife got this done for my birthday - love it!
  10. Download-only radio edit filled with irritating "bleeps" - profanity abounds! Its actually rather good - goes from a kinda rap-metal (no, really) verse into a sugarsweet uber-catchy chorus - na na na na na na na! The bleeps are really annoying though. Looking forward to the album now. edit "The Sweetest SONG"
  11. Good! Orange County metal/hardcore mob Eighteen Visions have announced that they have split. Bassist Mick Morris released the following statement on the bands myspace page, "After several years of touring and quite a few album releases we have decided that it is time to go our separate ways. We have been a band for a very long time and feel good about everything we were able to accomplish. At this point in our lives and our careers we feel its time to move on to something fresh and new. Whether it be music, touring or just being at home to live and enjoy life. We would like to thank all of our fans, friends and families for all of the great support over the years. We would also like to thank all of the bands we have shared the stage with and everyone who has ever worked with the band, opened a door or reached out a hand." The band will play their final two shows this month is San Diego and Orange County.
  12. If it's true, thats terrible, but that cut's about 1cm long, the rest is blood smeared over her face. BMTH are pish though....

    New Who

Last nights was a bit pish - shitty, shitty "monsters", teeth-grindingly awful jokes (seriously, if they'd made another Shakespere line "joke" I'd have trashed my TV) and what the fuck is up with the super-slag, no talent acting sidekick? Anyhoo, despite that there was still some good stuff in there. The first episode was good too, so I'm hoping it's a blip. Can we get The Master back into it? He was my fave as a kid....
  14. I used iDump recently - took a fucking AGE, but worked....
  15. Having blasted it out on a few roadtrips recently, I'm hard pushed to think of a better mainstream metal album in the last 5 years - Mastodon's "Leviathan" (yes, I prefer it to "Remission") and KsE "Alive or Just Breathing" being the only ones close, and frankly the riffs on "The Blackening" piss on those two 80% of the time. Is it better than "Burn My Eyes"? Not sure about that, but it's close.....
  16. Its okaaay. Better than "Masses.." IMHO, but that was utter ding. Not gonna be rushing out to get the album, but then I'm one of the fickle bastards who's bought nowt since "The Holy Bible"....
  17. Bloc Party - New one (WH Smith vouchers are useless...) Soundgarden - Superunknown Team Sleep - S/T Download: Hellyeah - Hellyeah (Ex-Pantera plus Mudvayne - its Okayyyy...) Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
  18. Is available for streaming (legally) - got a ripped copy. It's sounding pretty good on first listen - LOADS better than the piss-poor "With Teeth". Lots of Downward-spiralisms, less "rock" than before. Needs a few spins I suspect....
  19. Beneef da! Beneef da! BENEEF DA REMAAAAAAAINS!
  20. Barrowlands still ranks as my fave, but they don't seem to do gigs so often anymore? ABC was great for Down. The Venue in Edinburgh has a special place in my heart - is it still there?
  21. Fabulous band. Just fucking great. Everyone also check out Ghost of a Thousand - almost as good.
  22. Web Junk.TV- The Best Web Video-Relentlessly Updated
  23. "We're off the drugs this time. No, really, we mean it. No screw ups from us, no siree. Ooops, we've fucked it all up. Again." Hope its good, mind. Better than Yoni at least.
