  1. not normally a genre a care about at all, but for whatever your reasons, what are your favourite pop songs? Off the top of my head, and mostly for nostalgic purposes, I love: Duran Duran - Ordinary World Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellite Seal - Kiss From A Rose Richard Marx - Hazard Michael Jackson - all of Thriller and Bad albums
  2. Sandi Thom, Sandi Thom, She made it on myspace dot com, Then topped the charts with a rubbish song, 'Cuz Cloud bought every single one.
  3. Fuck me that brings back memories. Very good shout. Sure there was some comedy threads on here about them somewhere. Actually that could be aubl stuff.... is that still available?
  4. I think you should offer some examples first, Cloud.
  5. Dlaczego robi wy ma jest taki koniec dzwonka? Hmmm. Turns out the word for 'bell' in polish is 'call'.
  6. 4x400m relay. That's my favourite
  7. Oh yeah - it was a stingray you wanted anyway - not a streamer. My bad.
  8. You can buy a rack tray from flightcase warehouse and mount it on there. I've got some more velcro if you want to mount it like that dude. Rack accessorie for Rack Trays 1u m 4
  9. oh my god I am there. He is awesome. Most underrated stand up comedian out there.
  10. Element 106 aren't just starting out, they've been around since the late 70s. Although in that time they have had 106 line-up changes (hence the name), with Hog joining the band as a young apprentice in 1984, at the tender age of 43.
  11. well done boys and good luck!
  12. I just watched this video without sound, so can't judge the quality of the music. But it looks like a goldie lookin chain style video. It can't be serious. Watch it without the music. it's hilarious.
  13. does that mean you're going to wrong them off?
  14. I can see the similarity to be honest. Chad Smith and Chad Michael Michaels.
  15. A bit standard in my opinion. It's a catchy song but it's just pop metal as opposed to the brutal hardcore/thrash crossover that I loved about Alive or Just Breathing.
  16. For anyone into brutal metal, from Machine Head to death metal such as Cryptopsy/Suffocation etc, you should check out these guys. Riffs and vocal wise, it almost had more in common with the first and most recent Machine Head albums and older Killswitch Engage, but the drummer added a real tech death metal quality so it covered quite a few bases. Very tight band - great drumming and drum sound, and the guitarist's tone was awesome. (Peavey JSX I think, for gear heads). Still missing a little stage presence but musically it was pretty pro. Think they're local but don't play many shows, which is a shame because I could actually see them getting a bit of a fanbase if people had the opportunity to see them. I'm sure they'll have a myspace but I haven't checked it out yet. EDIT: here it is. Thirteen knives on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads
  17. Linkin Park are pretty much THE biggest selling rock/metal band in the last decade. And popularity is always going to dominate over actual 'goodness'. I'd also guess there are far more 16-25 year olds compared to the 25-50 year olds at Download with the latter category more likely to be Crue's fanbase. On topic, Community Property (by Steel Panther) is right out of the 'more than words' by Extreme book....
  18. Please tell me that is the art of surprising someone with a pair of soiled underwear? e.g. What shall I do with these dirty boxers? I know I'll dirty box flash because he enjoys dirty boxing.
  19. If 'nerve' is a euphamism for an 8 year old boy's willy then I did too.* *as you can only edit posts an hour after you originally submit them I should probably put a disclaimer and say that the above is totally not true. He was at least 10.
  20. I don't know how much you were planning on spending on this venture Phil, but definitely the cheapest way to go about this is at the end of every line you sing, repeat the last word a few times whilst gradually moving away from the mic. Also saves the hassle of worrying about wrong delay tempos throwing you off. The singer of the band below is superb at it: Note at 0:52 and 1:14 how well he does this - I assumed it was a delay unit on first listen. And you thought Ian was helpful.
  21. I don't actually know if it was a brilliant gig or not. I'm just going by how they reviewed it.
