    Your current read?

The Pale Plue Eye by Louis Bayard. Set in 1830's Up-Sate New York, a retired NY Roundsman, Gus Landor, is called out of retirement to investigate the brutal murder of a West Point Military Cadet which took place in the academy's grounds. Forced to keep his investigation confidential Landor is entrusted with the company of Military Plebe Edgar Allan Poe to aid his investigation. Speak about a can of worms...
  7. Agreed on both points. I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it. You fuckin Si!
  8. If place of emplyment restrictions are also included then true. TPBM will contract a nasty STD after being a dirty stop out this weekend
  9. On Countdown DOGSHIT is perfectably acceptable
  10. I'm far too upmarket nowadays to stay in a hostel: Prefer the comfort and privacy of a hotel. Cheers anyway, Ollie.
  11. I've been lucky enough to get a ticket for both Somerset House events for Mogwai and Kasabian. Could anyone recommend me a reasonably priced hotel as close to the city centre as possible? Cheap flights already bought and paid for, just need a roof over my head for 3 nights. Somerset House is located in The Strand to give you an idea of the locale I'm looking for. Cheers Steve
  12. I was under the impression that this was going to be a right barrel of laughs and an entertaining Laahndan Gangster flick when I settled down to watch it on DVD the other night. How disappointed I was to discover that it's the epitome of shit. I sat for the 90 minute duration willing the film to get better, but as the film went on (and on) and no sign of improvement was in sight, my dependency for Mauritian rum became paramount. There was one redeeming scene, however: Denise Van Outten fellating a cucumber:popcorn:
  13. Don't bother. It is a re-release. Originally out in 2001, which I was unaware of then and all these subsequent years. :O I stand corrected. I discovered this last night after taking the time to read through the inlay booklet. Still, it is nice to have a Godflesh compilation and the remix CD is quite refreshing.
  14. I only have the The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw album and the March Into the Sea EP. Can't get enough of both. Amazon here I come...
  15. I got recommended these guys prior to travelling down to Glasgow for the (cancelled) Explosions In The Sky gig. What can I say? Just disappointed I wasn't able to see them in Glasgow last week. Grrr!
  16. My first suit was from there. It was a really stylish navy blue with a feint pin-stripe. It cost about 130.00 back in 1993 and it served me well for about 3 years. I only possess 3 suits at the mo: Charcoal pin-stripe from Next (getting worn and needs to be replaced) Slate coloured Kurt Geiger I bought from E & M's a few years ago. Brown pin-sripe by Duffer from Debenhams. I'll be buying a new one for September - I've a Keith FC testimonial dinner in September so a new suit must be purchased. Saw a cracking one in Kafka the other week and a real classy Hugo Boss one in the HB Boutique in Glasgow. Either one will cost a small fortune but will be worth it.
  17. probably a bit pricey but try Kafka
  18. I bought myself a new suit by Duffer of St George from Debenhams last month. The cut is superb and I even got 25% discount. I think Debenham's range of suits (price-wise) is good. The guy who manages that particular section knows his stuff and he's quite happy to show you a suit that matches your budget.
  19. Peculiar... ...it was in the new releases section of One Up when I bought it on Saturday. MOSH246 P & C 2007 Earache Records Ltd.
