well, that was a lovely day out in the sun. Walked around the perimeter, a little bit of civil disobedience and lots of spliffs and nice people.

Used a D-4 at uni - great piece of kit (live, cleaning up mixes or just evening out songs. Used the MIDI out to trigger a step sequencer which is ACE like Duracell. Very highly recommended! I use VST triggers now for mixes, but if I see a cheap D4 it's mine.

Quite a lot of my friends are what would be considered straight edge, but don't know the term. Trying to tie it down to the hardcore bands that "started" it is pretty difficult as they didn't really mean to. There's only one real point in playing live. It's to turn up all the amplifiers and scream cupping the mike capsule in your hand. If the levels aren't sounding right on stage, the only thing to do is adjust your amp settings.
