  1. happiest music in the world: Cornelius - 2010 Sad song - i've racked my brains. i don't have any, so i'll pick bach because I only listen to him when revising, which I am right now.

  5. find your own, you lazy bastard!
  6. they were excellent at glasgow, though the non-shouty bits were painful as he couldn't hit a note. Dillinger were fearsome! 0 to full on rock fury in 0.1 seconds.
  7. get a nice pc soundcard
  8. Art depends on social inclusion and validity apon endorsement of institutions. Classically, these would be universities, concert halls etc, but corporate culture has meant that most people will only listen to music that has been endorsed by the same society that instills their value system and the need to protect the artificial structure by buying into it. Apart from Stuart Maxwell cos he's cool. HAARRR!
  9. Helmet, squarepusher, earthtone9, John Coltrane, King Crimson, Tool, Cult of Luna, Fugazi
  10. ahaha! I just completed it. Am currently basking waves of cathartic euphoria. Right, that's that. Where's HL:3?
  11. find your favourite chord, then detune the guitar so you can play it with one finger.
  12. haha! that's my mixer. I like it (or I would, if i could bloody get it back). Wouldn't say a compressor's essential, though it's bloody handy for recording kits. I used an MXL V69G big condernsor mic on some vocals and guitar and that was very good indeed. Just got delivery of a new GT-66 tube mic for 150 which is gob-smackingly gorgeous.
  13. 90fps on xp2800, nf2ultra, 9800se modded to 9800pro. It's absolutely beautiful. Spend the cash, mikey!
  14. I'm about to go drown myself in my own faeces. Thought it was tommorow. You're all bastards.
  15. no they aren't. i sprained my ankle. I may come down, depending on how pretty ben's hair is.
  16. in glasgow? that was an awesome gig. currently getting a mr scruff live set, the blueprint album (i have got it, lost cd) and some MC Pitman, cos it's funny.
  17. Alex

    Hanson!

On the other hand, my girlfriend's interviewing them, and I know I'll never be able to make her as happy as this is. It's an over 18s gig too. bizarro!
  18. Digital 4-track, 8 virtual tracks per track for multiple takes/editing/bouncing. Samples at 24 bit, 44.1Khz, and saves to smartmedia cards. There's a 32Mb card included, they're pretty cheap now. It has inputs for guitars/basses, a balanced XLR connection for mics, and phono inputs (+ internal mic). It includes COSM modelling, and you can dial in all kinds of crazy guitar and bass effects. You can EQ, compress, add reverb etc to any of the tracks. Takes batteries, so it can be taken along to recording studios or gigs easily. Includes a rythym editor/drum machine, and can be output analog, or along an sp/dif connection. Midi in/out makes it easy to hook up with sequencers and other gear. I'm selling it due to a hankering for some more microphones and because my recording's all done on computers. I've been using it with the digital out and MIDI synced up to cubase and to record a few demos, it is a lovely piece of kit. I paid 350 for it, selling for 200 ONO, I'll come up to the 'deen to deliver (and to see my mum) Cheers, Alex
  19. morphine I take it ross? At the moment am listening to ufomamut, karma to burn, monkey 3 and four tet
  20. nope. in room 325 in the main bittie on lvl 3. it's all go.
  21. pure balls. Though excellent, the 3rd album isn't nearly as dense or layered as the beyond. And the riff on genesis is absolutely fucking beastly.
  22. glasgow uni library indeed. 3rd floor. Unreal Tournament and baldur's gate installed
