  1. Where can I buy framed old photos of Aberdeen, I've seen them somewhere in town before but I cant seem to find anywhere to buy them now. Thought the P&J shop might have a few but no such luck.
  2. Open to reasonable offers on both.
  3. In my continued effort to get rid of stuff and free up some space I'm selling my spare Acer Monitor and my bike. Monitor is an Acer P223W 22" CrystalBrite Widescreen Monitor, no dead pixels and in good condition. Comes with power cable and a VGA cable 70 Federal Hamilton Pro20 frame, Odyssey GI forks, DK sprocket, cranks/pedals/seat/bars are from my old specialized bmx. Might need a new chain but the bike is in decent nick as I've only been using it for transport, no skateparks etc. 95
  4. Marshall MG100DFX combo with foot switch. Only used at home, looking for 50 Vox AD15VT combo. Lots of built in effects and amp sounds. This was my amp when I was in halls of residence. Did the job well, small enough and fun to play around with. Looking for 30 I can meet people in the city centre with the vox, Marshall is heavier so buyer would have to pick up from my flat near the beach, PM if you're interested.
  5. Is there a footpath along the coast all the way to Stonehaven from Aberdeen, if so, where does it start? Spotted some people walking along a path from the coastal road but google isn't being too helpful with telling me if it goes all the way to Stonehaven without having to walk on a lot of roads.
  6. iPod 30GB sold, open to reasonable offers on the ipod touch and the jacket.
  7. Moving flat so clearing out a few things iPod Touch 16GB (2nd Generation) - I don't use it any more as I have an iPhone, bit worn on the back from being in my pocket etc but in full working order. Small scratch on screen that is only noticeable when it's turned off (shown in the photo) - 50 ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting iPod 30GB (5th Generation) - Again, no longer have use for it. At some point the screen developed a few lines across it, these are shown in the photos and do not affect the workings of it at all -15 ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting Leather jacket from Zara - bit worn in but in good nick. Size XL but it's a bit on the smaller side so I'd say it's more of a Large. Label says outside is 100% leather - 50 ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video Hosting I can meet people in the city centre, PM if you're interested. Cheers
  8. Aberdeen University has Men's and Women's teams. There's also a local club that has a women's team, mixed team (women's rules but with a few guys on the field), and plans to create a full men's team. I play for Aberdeen university, great laugh.
  9. I need to get to the Maryculter House hotel on Thursday by 1pm, no access to a car this week so it looks like I need to take a bus from the city centre. Anyone know which bus will get me closest to it/which stop I need to get off at/how long it will take roughly?
  10. Since there are quite a few photographers floating around the site I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice regarding buying a zoom lens for my Canon 450D. At the moment I've just got the kit lens and I'm finding the limit of its zoom restricting, particularly while shooting sports at university. I'm finding a lot of different conflicting information on which lens I should look at. I found this article Recommended Canon lenses for Sports, Action and Wildlife photography | Cameralabs So I've been checking out the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM and the Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS Telephoto Zoom AF Lens which is pretty damn cheap on Amazon right now. I quite want image stabilisation and both have it. I'm not sure if there are any other lenses I should be considering. I know that there is a fair different in price between the lenses but I don't want to purchase the cheaper one and then regret it because it doesn't have the reach I need. I'm pretty new to DSLRs so any advice would be appreciated. It will be mostly used for fast paced sports (hockey, lacrosse, rugby etc) and a bit of wildlife photography. Cheers
