Most trucks come down Virginia Street and bypass Union Street to get to Market Street so it won't increase HGV traffic at all.

If this is the case then how is closing Guild Street off to Harbour traffic going to stop Union Square being traffic clogged.

I'm guessing it's to encourage people to use the Harbour route (as it's two lanes) round towards riverside drive rather than getting people cutting across from Virginia street and going down College Street which can and does get busier than it needs to be. They experimented with that during the roadworks on Guild Street a few months ago and it was largely successful.

It's just stopping traffic from coming across the Virginia Street/Market Street/Guild Street intersection from the Virginia Street side, it's not like they're shutting Guild Street completely.

I just lost my shit at this

They are still good gifts for people as they look the part but the shops seems to be advertising them as genuine. They still make other wonka bars etc but the original Wonka Bar is no longer sold.

I was dubious about this thread, but it is truly legendary. where is the Nandos on Belmont Street? Also is it not at all possible that just maybe the wonka bars are discontinued in the US but still available in other places? Or old stock? I know three shops in Dublin that sell them, I refuse to believe there's a thriving trade in black-market Wonka bars.

Across from Pizza Express and the wrapping that the wonka bars are in were only ever used in the movie in the real world the wrapping is too old fashioned. If you ask about them they tell you that they are genuine nestle bars.
