Grizzly
Here it is, but you need spotify. Thanks, got it now. Some great stuff. Always had an ear for Steve Earle's style, The Devil's Right Hand is a classic. Been listening to Big & Rich's, Horse of a Different Colour myself, gotta love how they don't take themselves too seriously.

Shaki
At the moment I can't get enough of Richmond Fontaine to the point that I'm also reading main man Willy Vlautin's novel, Motel Life. Latest album, We Thought the Freeway was a River is bloody marvellous.I bought Lean On Pete (his latest novel) at the Richmond Fontaine gig. Haven't got round to it but it's coming on holiday with me next week. Now that was a good gig.
paranoid
Currently listening to Seasick Steve, Hank Williams III, Crooked Still and most recently Foghorn Stringband in anticipation of seeing them at the Orkney Folk Festival end of next month. They are playing somewhere in Aberdeen on their way up the road and I'd urge you to go see them, based on their stuff on MySpace, they are reet good! MikeyEB
I would suggest some Drive-By Truckers or the solo work of Jason Isbell. The Dirty South by DBT is one of my favourite albums ever, bit country, bit southern rock and a lot of genius storytelling.
KarmaTsunami
Liking Son Volt at the moment. Their new album is affae guid.
girl anachronism
I'm not sure if you could class them as proper Americana, I suppose it might be more folk or alt country maybe, but I'm really enjoying First Aid Kit at the moment, lovely voices. I agree with the DBT recommendation too
Alan Cynic
I'm very impressed by the new Michael Chapman one, 'Wrytree Drift'. He's back on top form, having been 'rediscovered' by folk like Thurston Moore, the No-neck Blues Band and the late Jack Rose.Michael Chapman Memories of NY 2010
