CamilleY
What do you need it for? The old hyrdo building at the bottom of Crown Street is being demolished just now and rebuilt at flats. It's good if you want to take photos of granite blocks....
ryan
I'm after them for photography purposes. I'll have a look for that hydro building, thanks.
CamilleY
There's also the disused health centre on the corner of Whinhill Road / Great Southern Road. It's a relatively modern ugly square bastard with boarded up windows.
Sue Denim..
There's also a few pubs down the harbour that look a bit run down....
Wax
Try Sandilands! Possibly might not be derelict, maybe the inhabitants don't realise that glass is a more efficient material for windows than MDF?
lollerskates
Sounds like somebody is looking for an Industrial Zone for Crystal Aberdeen Maze.

Rachie
There was old Elmhill House (former lunatic asylum) in Cornhill Grounds, beautiful building. framheim
There was old Elmhill House (former lunatic asylum) in Cornhill Grounds' date=' beautiful building. But the Burrell's converting it into flats now so not so accessible Tivoli theatre?[/color']tivoli isn't derelict or unused. it's just in need of fixing up. it's owned by a trust i believe who are trying to raise cash to reopen it. what about warehouses, might there be some in some of the industrial areas of the city. perhaps the harbour area. Guest pop-notmyface
There was old Elmhill House (former lunatic asylum) in Cornhill Grounds' date=' beautiful building.[/color']wow, now that sounds interesting.....but sorry to burst your bubble, according to the developers site, it was a "B listed hospital" now i'm not sure if the B refers to age of the building or the category...but unless they are bending the truth in order to get folks to move into a "former asylum", it is a hospital.http://www.premierburrell.co.uk/developments/elmhill/
lollerskates
In Peterhead there is the abandoned hospital. And nearby in Lonmay, if you go into the woods and jump over 2 fences you come to this HUGE old abandoned house. It is hilarious if you go there at 2am with only illuminated phone screens for torches.

lollerskates
On the Peterhead-Fraserburgh road, a few miles out of Fraserburgh, there is a road goes away off to Red Loch. Apparently this is where 'witches' were hung hundreds of years ago. The story goes that in the 60's sometime, a little girl went into the woods and was never seen again. Her bike was found about 30 years later. And just beside the loch, there is an empty house, and I swear, it is the house from the end of Blair Witch. And when we crept up to the door, it swung open by itself all of a sudden, and we all ran like fuck.

beeker
if you head out towards peterculter, just after the waterwheel Inn there is a for sale board for industrial unit - if you take a right at the wee gatehouse then down the lane to the left is a massssiiivveeee site that is derelict. Not sue what it was used for but it seems to have been some sort of hospital type place. eerie anyway.

Built to replace cells provided in the original Infirmary at Woolmanhill since the 1740's for 'those who deprived of the use of their Reason', the new hospital admitted patients from Aberdeen and other parts of the North-East of Scotland and, at times, from further afield. The asylum, as it become known, was enlarged on several occasions in the nineteenth century.
