  1. I'd just like to point out before you go looking for sites to download mp3 files, be wary of sites such as allofmp3.com and mp3sugar.com...these sites do not pay anything to the artists or labels. They're usually based in Russia and exploit weak Russian laws which allow companies to use copyrighted music and sell it however they like. P2P isn't exactly legal but at least through this method you're not paying criminals, just use P2P to preview albums. If you're one of those who wishs to keep music going then stick with legit methods like iTunes (and I believe napster are ok these days?) they're not fantastic but they're better than nothing. Also indie labels can use iTunes and I know many small bands who take advantage of the service. Otherwise do what onlynik suggested and rip you cd to mp3 format, iTunes is my favourite tool for this.
  2. I think it was a different attack. But what gets me is everyone is going on about the UN observers who were killed but virtually nothing has been mentioned on the news about the two red cross ambulances targeted and bombed by the IDF killing those inside.
  3. Those Israeli officials and the military really need their asses kicked...
  4. Israel tried to blame Hezbollah for UN post attack By SAM F. GHATTAS The Associated Press Friday, July 21, 2006; 6:05 AM JERUSALEM -- A U.N.-run observation post just inside Israel was struck during fighting between Israel and Hezbollah militants on Friday. The Israeli army blamed Hezbollah rockets but a U.N. officer said it was an artillery shell fired by the Israeli Defense Force. A U.N. officer, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation, said an artillery shell fired by Israel made "a direct hit on the U.N. position overlooking Zarit." The post is part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon. But an IDF spokesman said the position was hit by rockets fired by Hezbollah that fell short of their targets in northern Israel. The U.N. official said the facility was severely damaged but none of the Ghanian troops inside the bomb shelters inside were injured.
  5. At last! The Israeli Prime Minister confirmed my thoughts that the Israeli authorities are more concerned about saving their soldiers than the lives of civilians, taken from Stripey's BBC article above... Because to much shit was stirred when Israel was created against the wishes of those who lived on the land (and subsequently were removed) and it all went downhill from there. Anyway I'd not want to share any land with the insane israeli government and their military. Not that I speak for these people.
  6. Could you post a link to where you found that. And yes, they seriously are sick twisted people...its no wonder people turn to terrorist tactics if they're faced with this sort of insanity day in and day out.
  7. Anyone notice Israeli officials were falling over themselves to explain this as not deliberate, an accident and something regretful. Had the target been (Arab) Lebanese civilians they wouldn't give a shit. I think the BBC were interviewing some Israeli military commander and he was ranting on about Israeli civilians being killed, but when asked about the hundreds of dead Lebanese civilians being killed by Israel he totally changed the topic and started ranting about the fight against terrorism.
  8. What can we do other than watch? I'm going to attempt to do my small part and work out if I can possibly boycott Israeli products and support Israeli human rights groups. This is so screwed up now I don't know what to say...and I don't know whats worse; the israeli bombings of civilians in such an extreme manner or the fact many people consider this ok.
  9. not much worse than Nirvana to be honest
  10. ok then how about' date=' in my experience of seeing bands 30mins [i']is short for what appeared to be the headliner. I would have liked more because...shock... I liked them, if you want to argue about this feel free to send me a private message. Right, now I see (from a different post) the setlist was changed as this is not how it looked on the poster...not everyone lives on AM you know.
  11. For a headlining act its pretty short in my opinion. Well it looks like a setlist to me, not the one from the other night so I assume its for somewhere else.
  12. Ok so, that was good. I missed the first two sets not thinking they'd be on so early and ended up arriving just before those guys with "the hair" were about to play. Not sure I liked them much although I have to say I prefered the parts of their set where they had more distortion and effects going on...guitars and drums just don't do anything for me personally. I have no idea who the guy screaming was as I hadn't looked at the setlist, anyway I'd have prefered more electonic noise with this as the drums alone didn't do much for me. Julius Seizure were ace!!! I really liked these guys and aberdeen could do with having them play again in the future...but why such a short set? I was really enjoying it and then they finish Oh and am i in the wrong thread or something? I have no idea what you guys are discussing, and where's this... Asahara 8:30 Arakanyoma 9:10 Tetsuo 9:45 Julius Seizure 10:15 KMVSNI 11:00
  13. Looks as though you're right...and wrong. I have no idea who's lyrics they are.
  14. If there's one thing I've learnt here its that discussing this issue with people who so blindly support the oppressive and violent actions by state of Israel (yes of course the GOVERNMENT and the MILITARY) and continue to make excuses no matter what they're faced with is completely pointless. Its like they ignore the facts and blank out the reality. But thankfully they're in the minority, sadly on a wider scale they're the ones who call the shots.
  15. Debate forums are a bad idea, I had to quit alternativenation.net due to the debate forum taking over my life! Very sad but it happens...nooooo to dabte.
  16. Just think, for every trapped fly you help escape there's a little spider going hungry...possibly starving X-(

  18. I took this the other day while out taking photos around aberdeen, might please some
  19. Especially not since they have the US to back them up on everything. Israel have ignored over 60 (almost 100) UN resolutions against them so far' date=' about 30 others have been Vetoed by the US to help out Israel. The whole situation is fucked up and nobody is going to help unless they can benefit some how. One thing I hate is the way most people see Palestinians as terrorists and Israel as a vitcim state. [b']@Snakebite This topic is pretty usless these days, you're better off finding a way to actually do something yourself...even if its just a donation to the Palestinians through a charity, they NEED it. and to answer this - "Who has the right to kill innocent people?" - Nobody on earth has the right.
