That was right up there for me, too. Until Yo La Tengo in Glasgow... Beaten by the narrowest of whiskers.

Lots of gigs this year, though... No doubt it'll be beaten again.

Best gig for me was Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Glasgow about three or four years back. Magic.

Guest redmeat

Mogwai, Delgados and Uresei Yatsura - The Jaffa Cake, Edinburgh 1997

Yo La Tengo - Kings Theatre, Glasgow 2000

Radiohead - AECC, Aberdeen 2003

The Microphones - Drakes, Aberdeen 2003

Brian Wilson - Clyde Auditorium, Glasgow 2004

Mogwai - 2nd stage TITP, 1999 (I think)

Love - Caird Hall, Edinburgh 2003

John Cale - Caird Hall, edinburgh 1999

I think Aphex Twin at ATP 2000 was good, but I can't really remember. I was too busy freaking out over the live crabs on the dancefloor which didn't really exist.

That was a quality gig at The Pelican. One of the best ever held there. The Young Gods a few months laterat the same venue were enjoyable too.

But nothing will come close to Helmet at the Barras in '97.

They were an awesome, very underated band. one of my mates sat next to Ty Tabor on the plane on the way to the States about that time!

Their first 2 albums were fantastic then they lost their way but a great live act.....three part harmonies and power. Seen them four times but nothing compares to that first gig
