I think you misunderstood. Steve Tyler didn't quit. The rest of the band tried to replace him, so he's suing them. I heard that Aerosmith (specifically) are bound by some sort of special donnington-only contract, which basically says "If Steve Tyler throws a hissy-fit and decides not to sing, then we're not gonna replace Tyler, we're gonna replace the band." Don't get me wrong, I fucking LOVE me a bit of Aerosmith... I just think they should grow up. By the way, this is the 30th Anniversary of Donnington... so it'd best be good. I am praying that Dream Theater, maiden and shadows fall play. Have any of you guys heard of Zico Chain? Kickass band, opened the main stage in 2007, and it was honestly one of the best performances I saw over the weekend. They were so energetic and they had a fucking blast.

cerebral inferno are one hell of a band. They kicked arse this weekend at the moorings. Defenitly want to see them again. Not heard the others yet but i'll check them out.

Don't get me wrong, there's a fair share of good bands out there, but most bands sound exactly the same as one another and it's pretty damn depressing. I mostly listen to 60's, 70's and 80's stuff really these days. Any of you guys given up recently? haha

They're okay, wouldn't say anything special if you know what i mean. sound very much like offspring styled bands as the original post said. Lyrically not so good, technically not so good, but they're fun, and teenage kids would love them, hence why kerrang is "supporting" them. anyone agree? I'm not trying to cause an argument of any kind, although as the original poster also said, the aberdeen-music folk do like to start shit off for no reason.
