  1. I haven't been in years, but last time I, the food was delicious. These days, my go-to Italian is Mi Amore on Huntly Street, though. Go there! Lunch deal!
  2. The one we have that we failed at using when you guys stayed at ours is awesome... when you figure out how to inflate it. I stole it from my parents so am not sure where they got it, but I think this is the same one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intex-Airbed-Raised-Pillow-66702/dp/B000COQ5GM/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1397658924&sr=1-1&keywords=intex+airbed It actually feels sturdier than most other airbeds, more like a mattress than a slightly inflated tent.
  3. I was getting nervous this week at how everyone just assumed that we would be in the final, even though, other than the Hibs game, I thought we'd been looking pretty ropey since the League Cup final. Complacency is the worst. Still lovely to see them doing so well, though. I hope they manage to hang onto second place. Good boys. In conclusion, Russell Anderson.
  4. Listening now. Pretty nae bad! Hope it does well, glad to hear that the move has paid off. I've been enjoying the new Cloud Nothings record and am excited for Chain and the Gang's coming out tomorrow.
  5. Grant Stott is all over Edinburgh. It's mental, this is the one place where people actually know who he is. He's a total celebrity, which is pretty hilarious to everyone who comes here from all other places in Scotland. Salt and sauce, Grant Stott and the weird boner for rugby that Edinburgh has are the three things that stop me considering this place home.

    Your current read?

I'm sure I'll go back to it someday and it'll click. The Book of Illusions was ace but I still think it comes second to the NY Trilogy. Mind fuuuuuck! I'm typing this on my phone and the font is really weird and massive. Wonder if it'll come out normal. What an exciting experiment...
  7. AND he didn't post that last one in bold...
  8. I've never been but I know that when I do eventually make it, I'm heading straight here: http://newyork.ucbtheatre.com/ Lots of American sitcom darlings seem to start there.
  9. The new album by the Hold Steady is great, if you're into that sort of thing.
  10. I saw he was playing in Edinburgh so went onto his site on the off chance that he might have announced other dates, then did a double-take at the Moorings being listed. Turns out it's true! That's worth going up north for. He's also playing Dundee (think he's doing places he missed the last few times) and Doune the Rabbit Hole.
  11. Jeffrey Lewis is playing at the Moorings in August. Incroyable.
  12. That's going to be an interesting funeral...
  13. When I was little, I was clambering over the fence behind our house and when I was reaching to pull myself up, I accidentally put my hand right on top of a slug that was there and totally freaked out. I ran back inside and did the same as you and kept cringing for ages afterwards. Thinking about it still makes me shudder. Slug bastards. Ever since I have never absent-mindedly held onto railings for fear of accidentally touching a slug. Or impaling my hand on a spike, but that's something else. Ughhh... Sounds like my sister's. Her and my brother-in-law's TV broke towards the end of last year, so they decided they'd have to buy a new one and mentioned it in conversation to his mum. A close friend of her's had just died and she inherited a lot of his stuff. He had quite a new TV and said that they could buy that off of her for cheaper than a new one and they agreed to it. A few weeks later, they asked when they could pick it up and she said that she'd ended up selling it. They didn't mind too much and just bought a new one like they'd originally planned. Again, they casually mentioned this a few days later to the mother-in-law and she got all huffy and said, "Oh... Well, I was keeping [her friend's] TV to surprise you with at Christmas." then didn't speak to them for a few weeks. Mintal. What else were they going to do when she told them she'd gotten rid of it? Fortunately, my boyfriend's mum is brilliant, so I have to live vicariously through my sister's tales of fury.
  14. I love that it was all 80s hits. Go West, Don't You Want Me? and Give It Up. Timeless classics! I've spent most of this evening watching dumb videos of Sunday's hilarity. Some people are just great. I was gutted to not be able to be in Aberdeen on Sunday night. Sounds like there was an ace atmosphere everywhere.
  15. I wish people would chant my name to the tune of a selection of 80s hits. I tend to be quite reasonable with my feelings towards referees, y'know, it's a tough job and even if they make a decision I don't agree with, but I can see the logic in it, fair enough. But that guy yesterday was displaying some next level fuckwittery. I can't believe he didn't come up with a reason for the penalties to not count. I'm still raging. Boo-urns.

    Weekend

Tonight: Sleep. Tomorrow: Head over to Glasgow after lunch, hopefully hang out with my cousin who stays in Utrecht and is over for the cup final. Sunday: Stress in the build up to the Team Kicksport match. Either laugh or cry or both.
  17. New tUnE-yArDs album out in May. Ace news, W H O K I L L was the best.
  18. Finished House of Cards and it was great. I love Claire and Francis. I'm going to start acting like a total horrible bastard and then everything will start to go my way. Would have been quite nice to see Frank go to jail, though. Imagine how vengeful he would have been after a few years in prison... Also I've run out of Nurse Jackie on Netflix as it only has series 1-3. A-boooo... Gloria Akalitus is my hero.(EDIT) I don't know why this is showing on top of the spoiler box. It isn't a spoiler...
  19. I was trying to figure that out. Maybe there's still hope then!
  20. Just went back and read this. I thought it was really jarring but figured that was just as I've not seen any more, so thought it might make sense later, but your post is making me think that there was no reason behind it. The hell, Underwoods?
