  1. yeah sure do, christians can fuck off if they think they should get special treatment, if someone had a 'i love jesus' t shirt thats just as offensive to anti-christians as the 'jesus is a c*nt' one is to christians. Religion needs to be brought down a peg or 2, it doesnt make you special, it doesnt mean your right, and it doesnt make you better than other people.
  2. cool thats a good idea, will get onto that although theres not alot of people goin to uni now is there? thought the year was over?
  3. none of us go to uni..........well we've got a gig coming up for any1 interested in hearing us for real, the 22nd of july @ drummonds, we'll be on at about 5.50pm so if ur a bassist or just wana hear us live get your ass down there!! tickets are 3 ...pm me if you want any.
  4. Anti Tool?? Blasphemy!! Them Anti Tool Titles Are Lame. This Band Is Obviously Jealous That People Can Connect With Tools Music Easier Than Their No Doubt Noisey Scrappy Shite(that I Havent Heard But If They Dont Like Tool Then Thats Not A Good Sign). Any Band With Song Names Like That Hardly Takes Music Seriously And Therefore Cant B Taken Seriously. Tools Music Is Obviously Above Their Level Of Intelligence....
  5. Hey we're looking for a bassist, although its quite metal orientated, we're aiming for a tool/pink floyd/death metal hybrid so its not straight metal if you see what im saying. n e way check us out at www.myspace.com/cranialdeath and let us know if your interested in comin for a jam or sumthin. please keep in mind the recordings on our page are a year old and the songs are now faster/tighter/more accurate. Lewis/Cranial
  6. Hey we're looking for a bassist, but a 2nd guitarist might be cool , as long as you dont want very much creative input cuz we have a very specific style in mind and itd mainly be me just telling you what to play....... n e way check us out on www.myspace.com/cranialdeath keep in mind that the recordings are about a year old now and the songs are generally faster/tighter now. Lewis/Cranial
  7. Teabags i agree that particular type of slaughtering is seriously wrong!, youd have to be heartless to think otherwise, they cant be slaughtering all cattle this way, i noticed it was in Iowa(thats the states for you), there would have to of been an uproar in the uk if that was goin on here. Not something i know alot about though...
  8. At the risk of being controversial, isnt being a vegetarian quite pointless in a world where nature is raped of its resources daily?.....also why arent vegetables etc considered living things...they grew didnt they? they make up just as vital a part of the web of life as us or animals. life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life...... (those of you who own undertow will understand). For something to live something has to die, becuase we live in a world based on the transferance of energy from one form to another, there can be no more energy than whats already here, and the energy must be recycled and reused therefore life must be fed on for life to survive. I apologise if absolutely no1 sees where im coming from......
  9. So we're Cranial, we play extreme metal crossed with progressive rock crossed with whatever the fuck else we feel like, and we're looking for a bassist (the endless search continues..) so if you are that special person we need to add a new layer to our sound, get in touch as soon as possible! sounds are available @ www.myspace.com/cranialdeath (please keep in mind the songs on the myspace are rough live recordings which are about a year old now) cheers:up: Lewis/Cranial
  10. you considered extreme metal? give us a listen www.myspace.com/cranialdeath we've been looking for a bassist since time began.....
  11. no order Severe Torture Suffocation Pink Floyd The Doors Dying Fetus Skinless Nirvana Tool Kataklysm Cannibal Corpse
  12. Oh Yeah The Corpse Gig At The Garage Blew My Mind. Their Still Gods Of The Genre After 16 Yrs.....
  13. yeah i tune my six string to standard C, a few years ago i learned that the heaviness has very little to do with the tuning(unless your doing slow heavy), most brutal bands dont seem to tune very low, eg- severe torture - C# deeds of flesh - D for faster more complex brutality higher tunings are easier to hear, just got my 7 string though, am tuning that to B flat standard and yeah it sounds heavier for slower/chuggier shit and you dont lose the ability to have higher sounding riffs on the smaller strings, 7 strings fucking rule!
  14. no id say definately always
  15. so soundian i take it u sound engineer death bands all the time yeah? so how many death albums have u recorded? obviously a non-clicker bass drum goin flat out is gona b much harder to hear amongst the noise of bass, guitar and vocals, hence the reason for clickers.... we met the drummer from severe torture last time they played glasgow and he was sayin that it was harder for him to play that night because the clicker hadnt been set up right and he couldnt hear his bassdrum clearly. so it helps the musicians keep in time as well...
  16. i used to love machinehead back in my teenage yrs, before i discovered extreme death metal and realised machinehead were selling out with burning red, then supercharger never got imperium because by that time whatever had made them good on BME and TMTC seemed to have gone for me, will b interesting to see how their attempting to dig themselves out of the hole they made for themselves by changing from heavy thrash metal to nu metal catchy chorus shit.....if only they had went more extreme instead of more commercial they could of been amazing, i blame robb flynn for bein an arrogant twat (probably- i have no hard evidence to back this up)) in terms of fear factory, soul of a new machine, demanufacture and even some of obsolete (mainly the title track) all still appeal to me thanks to the machinelike blast beats. although the extreme death/metal im listening to now knocks seven shades of shit out of all of the above if u ask me
  17. hey just to put in my tuppence worth, Nile definately use double kick pedals with triggers, pretty much all death bands do cuz it improves the clarity of the pedal and stops the bass guitar from meshing with the bass drum sonically. that frost of satyricon guy is using a double pedal as well except for the straight single beats in time with the snare. check out this for fast single hand gravity drops. (the gravity drops are right at the end)
  18. hey i notice u have one band tbc, just wondering if 'Cranial' can do the honours? n e way let us know.....
  19. hey if ur interested in doin sumthin different, can play bass pretty fast, and your not put off by extreme heaviness, my band 'Cranial' are looking for a bassist.check us out on myspace for rough recordings of our current set list... www.myspace.com/cranialdeath we're aiming to get more prog and more extreme. We all love Tool,Floyd,The Doors etc as well as all our extreme/death metal influences, we're hoping to achieve a varied sound with hints of originality (if thats possible n e more!)
