yeah i understand what your saying, but to be fair the artists im listening to dont even get their albums sold in major chain stores and you have to go to the extra effort of ordering what you want, if they can even get it for you. If they reduced the price of CD's to something more reasonable and the record labels stopped taking such a high %age of a bands earnings then the effect of illegal DLing could be lessened. If the record industry wants to keep up its profits then its gona have to lower prices in general to bring the DLing population back to buying CD's.

i think its interesting that the majority of underground acts dont make fuck all of their album sales and tend to only make profit on their performances/merchandise. Ive found out about many bands you wouldnt find in HMV/Virgin/(insert major music chain here) through using the internet to get hold of their material, and i will journey to glasgow or whatever to go and see them and probably buy a t-shirt/hoodie as well, so in a way illegal downloading helps these less well-known artists find more customers. It does suck that the actual product of their music has relatively little value to an artists income, and that they need to constantly gig to sell merchandise etc and get some money, but at least the internet has flattened the playing field in terms of what bands the public can easily hear about.

i dont think there the kind of thing that should be messed with lightly....

anybody had any experiences involving a recurring spirit/entity? i was stayin at my m8s flat on holburn street after a night out, so i was asleep on their sofa when i heard the door open, it was still dark but i instantly thought it was just someone gettin something so didnt take much notice until i heard no other movements at all. feelin a bit freaked out i sat up and looked about the room, the door was open but nothin was there.i went back to sleep. The next day my m8 came through and said he'd had a fuckin scary dream and i was in it, that he'd seen me lieing sleeping on the sofa and a tall guy dressed in a long jacket and a top hat came in and stood over me watching me sleep, he saw me sit up and look about and the figure somehow managed to hide behind the arm of the sofa, then he saw me lay back down and go to sleep and the figure moved back to where it was and just watched me sleep. Now i hadnt even mentioned the fact id heard the door open or anything so it was seriously fucked up. We did a ouiji board and it spelt out TH before we heard a bang in the next room and shat it. we now call him Top Hat man. he was also seen during an acid trip in that flat, and this chick said she saw him in my bedroom a few years ago. theories are that he's my watcher/spirit guide/curse lol

Its funny how these christian-converter people hand out leaflets that try to scare you into believing in god.. such as DO YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS AND THE LORD? (picture of cross) if not you are going to burn in hell eternally! (picture of fire) makes me laugh everytime, god loves you so much that if you dont believe in him he'l punish you for so long itl never end, the hypocrisy of it astounds me. People should be strong enough to discover their own meaning/understanding without resorting to some hand me down belief where everyone who DOESNT believe in it will be punished(i.e hell).

American dad, family guy and the simpsons are all good shows but nothing beats south park....i mean its nearly the end of the 11th series and i cant remember the last one i watched that i didnt find funny. got this a couple of days ago, still playin through HL2 , completed it on PC before but im enjoyin playin it again, must be a damn good game if its still good after bein released originally years ago. Portal and Team Fortress are also cool, would of probably prefered it if TF2 was less cartoony and more like the original TF mod for quake but its still fun. Portal is funnier than youd expect as well.

i find if i have a few riffs which feel like they could form the basis of a song, i just work on other riffs for a few months and then when i come back to working on the song i use the other riffs ive came up with for filling out the song,just find the ones which'll fit that particular song. i tend to write through-composed music though which means i basically make sections and join them together, with no repetitiion of the sections, i like how this format makes it more like a musical journey, and it also means that you have to listen to the song again to hear any specific section again, giving the other more obscure sections a chance to grow on the listener. im constantly learning though, and i think the main thing is that when the song does finally come together it feels like its been developed into something more than just a collection of riffs or whatever.

its not really a message but it basically hangs on the loading screen after i try to join a game, or it gets into the game and says punkbuster failed to execute properly and kicks me.Ive tried looking up ways to sort it and have tried a few and occasionally it works and other times no cigar. the wierd thing is its worked plenty of times before and then all of a sudden every time i try to join a game it seems to freeze in loading screen but HD is still being accessed like its loading....i could get it to work by just trying again and again and itl work at some point but i havent got time to piss away, the game isnt good enought to warrant it yknow. oh yeah and when i got my copy the f-ing cd-key it came with was already in use and i had to go and return it for a different copy of the game! sucked:swearing: EA can kiss my balls oh yeah and ive never had serious problems with lag on XBL, a while ago with RS:Vegas i noticed it was laggy as fuck sometimes, but since about the time COD3 came out ive seen remarkably little lag in my online games.

man the multiplayer is soo good id buy it for that reason alone, singleplayers just gona be a bonus!! havent seen anything about the new battlefield, is it gonna be set in present times?(i got BF2142 for my pc and i was a bit disappointed, not so much with the game itself , just all the online issues it has i.e punkbuster seems to kick people out of games for no reason...)

death proof was pretty cool if you ask me, coulda been gorier but the dialogue was quite cool and the car scenes are good. Also made me laugh out loud a few times, dunno if it was intentional or not but some of the scenes were funny as fuck, i.e the bit where the girls see mike in his car across the road and he tears off, then 2 seconds l8r they look over and he's back in the same place facing the same direction as before, and he tears off again... funny cuz it seemed stupid...

i played the beta and i cant wait for this, halo 3 will definately be taking a backseat when this little baby arrives, anybody else play the beta/looking forward to this?

^^^same^^^ yeah i completed pariah on normal xbox, didnt think it really compared to halo, coolest thing about it was the gun mods, which were sweet and more FPS should have that idea incorporated into them.

Vital Remains anyone? dunno if their originally from asia or not, but the main guy in the band Dave Suzuki records all the guitars and drums and they are fast as fuck! recommend to anyone into death/faster metal, Glen Burton on vocals as well!
