this might sound kinda obvious, but have you tried resetting it? you flick the lock on then off and then hold down the menu button and the centre button simultaneously for a good few seconds. then itll restart ive brought my own ipod photo back from the brink a few times that way.

ive got a guitar from thomann before, i wouldnt worry about it, their a reliable retailer.

i reckon most musicians are fairly unreliable, stoners or not, seriously we've had about 6 different folk tryin out for bass in the last year and ,if they even turned up they just couldnt play at all well enough......dont think any fo them were stoners either...

my m8 got one of these from a dealer in glasgow/edinburgh, he loves his, you should give it a chance and see if you get used to it, ive heard from a few people that its a very different pedal from the cobra.

the only problem with choosing FX pedals, especially distortion, is that your amp/guitar will ultimately affect what the pedal sounds like, so say some professional uses his metal zone through a triple rectifier with his 3,000 guitar, its gona sound waay different to a metal zone through a wee valvestate with a squier strat or sumthin.... so basically when your tryin them out u want to have as close to your personal setup as possible to get an accurate idea of how itll sound with YOUR equipment

Well id say we are more a progressive influenced death metal band than a death metal influenced prog band....

hey man, listened to the tune, duno about the vocals, i like how they have similarities to 'the wall' in some places (laughing/screamin goin in and out) but the semi-operatic style of the main vocal doesnt really appeal to me, i dont think i like it as much as 'Our Vision', but it is definately a more 'off the wall' sound that the song has, very psychedelic, and probably more 'hardcore' prog than your other songs(if that makes sense), you have built the song up nicely though and its definately an accomplishment, as always fine work with the guitars etc , just not really my cup of tea as far as the singing goes.

cheers to all of you for the words of wisdom, i definately agree with the guitar tone being shite, one of the main reasons that we're not happy with the recording, although like i said before just wanted to give an indication of our direction and see what the general opinion of it was. well no offense but kind of wanted the feedback from people who do like this style of music/playing. I dont think i could give very good feedback on a indie band for example because i generally just think its shite.cheers fro havin a listen n e way i spose:up:

cheers for havin a listen, to be fair to our other songs they were recorded really rushed, and we hadnt had time to tighten etc(had to hand in e.p for college course) , so the older songs sound alot better now we've reworked them a bit, glad you like it better anyway, also the recording doesnt get the faster bits across very well especially near the end(partly because of the guitar sound being overpowered by the drums/vocals, partly cuz of mistakes), which is why we're not happy with it overall, but its just to give folk an idea of what we're working towards.

got my CoD 4 today and my god this game is fuckin awesome. ive heard the only negative thing about it is the singleplayer campaign is quite short but from what ive played of it so far it is pure quality over quantity. also the multiplayer is gona make this game last a looong time

engineer,spy and pyro would be my favourites, been playin this alot the last few days, good crack. Completed HL2 and EP1 and EP2, and all i would say is that EP1 was kinda balls, and EP2 showed how balls EP1 was by being awesome in comparison. think im nearly finished portal, does get fiendishly puzzling near the end..

There can never be too much metal!! how exactly would you propose a metal band to stop using guitars? maybe they could use a triangle instead? thatd sound heavy.... guitars rule.full stop. id rather see someone rippin it up on guitar than fannying about with electronics anyday...

ive discovered countless bands i wouldnt of heard of through DLing.....most of my favourite bands as well. Spose it depends on your favourite genre how much stuff you'll find , i.e if you like pop, dont bother, but if its something more specific i.e death metal,jazz youll undoubtedly discover a few bands you havent heard of that youd like.
