  1. yeah thanks guys i will definately be looking out for some of the amps mentioned second hand, completely see the sense of it in the long run.
  2. wel yeah the east neuk was a bad gig for us, our second one ever really, lawrie hated the drum kit, i was using an amp id never used before, and had no soundcheck, it was basically a disaster gig,but its all experience and how else can you learn?. We have rough recordings of our songs @ MySpace.com - Cranial - Aberdeen, UK - Death Metal / Progressive - www.myspace.com/cranialdeath, if your interested, although both times i used the studio's in-house amplifiers, seeing how my avt was either out of action/not really any better than the studio amps . All of the recordings apart from 'The Severity of Brutality' are over a year old now as well so the songs themselves have tightened/improved since then. And thanks for the advice, i now understand why you said about us being muddy, if that gig was your only reference point!
  3. no i was more talking about freedom to choose your own way to live(which isnt just how you dress, obviously), which is what these goths were doing. Thats all, i may have went over the top but hey, i guess my view on our culture is more negative than yours, but we obviously have lived different lives etc, been influenced by different ideas/people. And whats with the english lesson, didnt realise i was in an exam situation. Its funny how your quick to try and dismantle what I HAVE said (see you happy mister 'ives' geek), but really have nothing to say of your own.
  4. yeah, good luck with that. youd probably be better just buying them new.....
  5. decapitated are defo NOT nu-metal:nono:
  6. wow thanks, and ill think youll find we dont sound muddy, more tinny( kinda need more bass to be muddy). And it cant be that much of a mess the amount of people who tell us they like it(even though their not into death metal generally).straight away your advice seems less valuable. k i agree with that, sounds good. ok so how exactly do i get a brilliant second hand amp with cab (i assume seeing how the avt cab just WONT be good enough) for 450, a good head alone will probably cost me that much.... and ive seen a review sayin that the peavey valveking sounds worse through a valveking cab than an AVT one....
  7. right on:up: at least with the music i generally go and see theres no way anyone can shout over it! Death Metal FTW!
  8. well im not really looking for a *brilliant* amp, just one thatll suit heavy metal/death playing( i use pedals so would only be using the clean channel), basically loud, clear with good bassiness but wont distort when used on clean at high volume. hmm ill have a look for some of the ones you mentioned 2nd hand but id probably be happier buying new so as to get the warranty etc...
  9. hmm the valveking looks alrite,i like the peavey supreme at cpt toms and it would go fine with my avt cab, anything i should know about it i.e common issues they have?
  10. thatd show just how shallow you really are, well done, now have fun judging me from behind your computer , wanker , funny you must think your judgement actually matters to me as well, arrogant at all?
  11. well ive never had any issues with my avt other than the 2 times its broken , both in the same practice situation in a dusty barn so chances are the environment affected it, i got it years ago when i was was lookin to upgrade from my old valvestate 100w combo, and to be honest id say ive got my moneys worth over the years, was thinkin bout a new amp but would it be worth spending hundreds on another amp when i could repair the one ive got for 100 or sumthin? was lookin at the randall g3 150h they look tasty .....
  12. u cant take guitars on planes n e more, you have to put it through as luggage, i did this with my 7 string i got in houston and the flight case i had got with it protected it beautifully.
  13. sorry ive got an opinion and at what part did i mention mental anguish? would it be better if i just said this and took my thoughts elsewhere, seeing how you guys seem to know it all anyway.............. sorry sorry the worlds great! just live and have fun! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love our society its so brilliant:partyboy: that better?
  14. humanity=virus with shoes, overpopulation=death for humanity and planet, so your equation would appear to be correct
  15. SILENT HILL = AWESOME .FULLSTOP. No other film has some wifey gettin her skin pulled off in one grab by some massive looking dude with a massive rectangular mask, also the end scene (which u obviously didnt see if your 2 retarded to watch the whole thing-i mean how can you judge a film till youve watched it all) where the girl rises up from underneath the church with the barb wire coiling around like impending death, the ominous organs and shit, then the barb wire killing everyone after first of course raping the religious leader wifey and ripping her in half! QUALITY!
  16. well ding dong day thats fascinating, im so glad that what one man said in the past has shaped so much of what the masses have to live with.........(also he called for american independence, what a country he's created there, all that shooting and killing might not have been possible had it not been for dear Thomas) Name one government which isnt corrupt and then ill be glad that his theories and observations have become integral in our society. Now about that saying we have a choice about which society we're in , thats bullshit, we're born here, so at what point can we actually make any sort of decision about that? when you reach adulthood, by which point youve already learned to function best in the society that surrounds you, and youve learned to put up with the constant soul destroying bullshit that is western capitalism. and im not trying to be big or clever, i just have a point of view, and im not afraid of being wrong, see from saying what ive said before ive learned something i would never of learned if i hadnt said it. hasnt changed my opinion tho yeah and that guy (dani )has to be one of the wierdest lookin guys ever
  17. lol i dont know if ur taking the piss but thats funny. who the hell is Thomas Paine and why the fuck should i care what he says? and when did we 'enter' into society , i dont remember being given the choice of whether or not i wanted to 'enter' it and i dont think anybody did/does(except immigrants who obviously do want to enter our society, not because our country's amazing, just cuz its better than theirs )
  18. this is from the official marshall site, maybe this is why theres no amp repair people? my main question would be WHY cant there be engineers in other places of the country?, or do they just love that you have to go to all the effort of paying to send ur amp back and go through all the hassle of not having an amp while you wait for weeks before you get it back. i like marshall amps but that is bullshit
  19. yeah i have a marshall avt150h i need fixed, it just stopped workin one practice, there was a little bit of smoke comin out of it, and at the moment it cut out there was a spark or 2 i think, if theres anybody out there with any suggestions on where i could take it, thatd be much appreciated, its not under warranty or anything now, so looking for a fairly cheap repair job
  20. why is britain such an uptight place to live? People are born free, like animals, and should be allowed to pursue any means for survival they see fit(that obviously dont infringe on the majority). If the government is goin to give them freebies complain to the government, dont hate the people who take advantage of the governments stupidity. There are no radically different ways to live anymore(in britain) and now people expect everyone to be near carbon copies of the people around them to be accepted. If you ask me that chick probably has more freedom than alot of 'normal' people who 'live to work' ,even with the leash on, thats probably why there are so many bitter soundin comments about this story on the Daily Mail site, people get pissed off that these 'freaks' didnt just do what they did and become another mindless slave being. I just think that generally peoples perceptions seem to be blinkered beyond belief , and if the majority dont agree on it then its 'bullshit/blasphemous/lame'. hmm reminds me of the religious oppression britain was subjected to a few hundred years ago, except now its not even religion, its media. 'Britains media - reinforcing blinkered views' and no im not going to live anywhere else in the near future, before the inevitable 'if you dont like it here ,leave' comment.
  21. not bad, a bit too hard to hear if you ask me, and at 30 seconds my main question would be 'wheres the song?'. i know its the style with this sort of grind tho, each to there own and all that shit:up: Also the vocals have too much reverb or sumthin... definately sounds uncompromising tho which i can dig... look forward to hearing more, preferably longer, tunes from you.(at least a bit, cmon how about a minute?)
  22. Indeed If Theres Any Death Metal Bassists Goin Around Their Ours Y'hear! We've Been Lookin For One For About 5 Yrs No Joke So Get In Line~!
  23. when 3 games (1 singleplayer only game(HL2 + expansions ep1 and ep2), 1 multiplayer only game(TF2), and a wierd offshoot game(Portal) get put into one, its definately still counted as one game , it would have been completely stupid of them to release it all sepearately becuase Team Fortress and Portal wouldnt of had enough about them to be worthwhile buyin for 40 and the fact its such a great deal means that its probably the best value for money game ive bought all year. so to be fair its awesome
  24. (all xbox 360) 1. Call of duty 4 2. The Orange Box 3. Bioshock 4. Halo 3 all i find worthy to mention....
