  2. bands don't make huge amounts of money from record sales these days due to internet and such, so bands tour endlessly and venues end up charging extortionate amounts of money to see them as bands make up the dephicit of record sales loss on tours. i knew internet was a bad idea
  3. Been there last two years and it's awesome. Make sure you book your train well in advance as trains aren't that frequent and it is hell queueing for seven hours to get a ticket, isn't recommended! Its alot cheaper than british festivals and alot more chilled out. Watch out for the heat, it is unbelieveable during the day and it is really hard to camp as it's so hot. Other than that you will love it, music is awesome, girls are beautiful, less neds than T and only a short walk from the beach!!!!!!!
  4. 'Dirty bitch lights on, ugly bitch lights off' oh dear!! I don't know what to make of it. Vulgar, yet so cheesy could be a hit......... actually i've listened to it all now, Jesus thats horrible.
  5. Maladroit is brilliant! Make Believe is gash though. I'd say its their only really bad album but I love them anyway so am pretty biased.
  6. Its ok, nothing hugely special but quite listenable. I've heard it once now and feel that I never really have to listen to it again.
  7. glad others agree, saying people have paid eleven pounds so they can do what they want works to some extent as long as its not detrimental to others who have paid eleven pounds, which it was . some people should just not be let out
  8. did anyone happen to go see stars at moshulu? i saw them a few months ago in glasgow and what a difference the atmosphere is in aberdeen compared to there. aside from the first few rows who seemed to be genuiely interested, you could hear people chattering through almost every song, plus there were so many knobs just screaming in your ear (wasn't even anything worthwhile shouting, just random swearing and noise), in glasgow the crowd seemed to be appreciative that a really good band had come from Canada to play for them. I thought that all the coverage in the news on the North East recently about fighting and general asshole behaviour had been greatly exaggerated but having been out so many times recently it seems to be pretty true. the place has had a hell of alot more good bands up here in the last couple of years than it has in the last eight i've lived here before. boo to all the twats who try and spoil it (especially the asshole in the camoflauged jacket tonight, you can't camoflaugh the fact your a cunt)
  9. new magnetic fields album out on monday, should be amazing as usual!
  10. have a marshall MGSeries30DFX practice amp for sale. 30 Watt output, looking to sell as moving away from aberdeen and need to get rid of some stuff. In perfect condition and really good as a practice amp. Was bought for around 150 bucks but willing to sell for 40. cheers
