  1. Well just because something is a generalization doesn't mean there is no truth in it.
  2. Edgar Graham may have a point . . . I know 2 people in real life who listen to dubstep and they could both easily be described as pretentious twats.
  3. Check out the Electronic Explorations mixes, a bunch (if not all, I dunno) of them are available for download on themixingbowl.org. My favourites so far have been by Ekelon, Ital Tek and Forensix. Vex'd also released one, it's has some great moments.
  4. One of my favourite bands ever. "Safety Second, Body Last" is their best work imo.
  5. That's right. You should do a blind test, that's the best way.
  6. Yeah, maybe shops like tesco and asda stop a lot of people bothering to go into a record shop. If singles weren't shit from albums with a couple of filler tracks I would buy them, I actually prefer the idea of a good single to a good album. Albums are too long, imo, I never listen to them all the way through and maintain concentration.
  7. I think 8-bit music is quite a good representative of Aberdeen music in general. Any other Sabrepulse fans glad he threw in the towel? Maybe he found out about that cartridge . . . probably.
  8. Aberdeen is a bit pish period, I don't think the music scene isn't particularly bad in context. I'd like more small gigs and events rather than AECC and music hall ones but most people don't care so much about intimacy, they're more about seeing bands that they're into.
  9. I'm into no underground music really. Apart from bands my friends are in, but I don't think that counts.
  10. Mr Man remix is cool, the Striphy one is hardly a remix, just just sounds like some samples jammed in a dubstep template. The whole tune is so meeeeeeeh.
  11. In order to correct spelling at some point you will have to take grammar into account.
  12. Ah I see, I was pretty disappointed by it being more of the "drum n bass" format than his more abstract styles. And yeah, I've only listened to a small amount of this catalogue and already had a few OMG moments.
  13. I really like the vocals samples - where are they from? I like the "drops" as well, if y'know what I mean. I agree with what other people said about the beat, I think it could be a bit more . . . artsy. The background atmosphere sounds are cool, remind me of Cdatakill.
