  1. spot on with the "holiday pish" never really noticed till you mentioned it' date=' but yep you are right..... i am delighted to say i can't oblige... as far as i am aware there is no photographic evidence of this phase....
  2. hair... years ago i grew my hair long.... sad fact is when you grow your hair from short to long there is a period of about 3 months when you look like a git..... but its worth it...... as for haircuts.... i get one a year now, when it was short i needed one month or so.. btw i wound up with a haircut not totally dissimilar to betty boo for about a month... :o/ andy.... i wouldnt bother cutting your hair yet... save your money, buy a pedal or strings or something...
  3. i thought you sold already.... ??
  4. pc...cakewalk or cubasis..sound card initial investment...you should be able to hack that around 500 bux... (build your own pc: scan/ misco/ local pc shop etc)after that you can slowly improve your set up.... new mics...better sound card (better still sound card with hub for better S/N).... and learn as you go along.... pros: - no track limit... - easy to edit... - easy to record midi... - easy to save.... - easy to expand... cons: - pc's can be noisy (interference etc) hence hub requirement - can be a longer learning curve... - you have to exercise a degree of discipline and not install to many non muso programs on your pc and slow down its proc that's my tuppence worth.... hope it helps...
  5. it was worse in the '80s dude.... 25% to 30% (or so) of scottish electorate vote snp.... 5 seats in uk parliament... (out of 80 odd in scotland..if my fading memory serves me well/ at all :o/ )....
  6. if you are refering to the balkans... you have to agree there is a world of differnce between titos yugoslavia and the united kingdom.... and where were all the bloody civil war enthusiasts after develoution was gained?
  7. just an observation, not a corner stone of any argument, but consider this... scotland is the 10th largest oil producer in the world (could be the 11th) kuwait is placed behind scotland by a single place... let me assure you the standard of living for a first class Kuwaiti citizen is very different to that of your average scottish citizen... the real need for independence was underlined during thatchers reign...here, scotland voted labour primarily, however was inflicted with a right wing short termist conservative govt for three elections in a row... scotland suffered considerably and seemingly could do nothing about it....
  8. some good points in your post... but the civil war nonsense is hair brained..... a majority of scots voted yes in the 70's for independence...however... there was a fairly dodgy proviso put into effect (notably that flies in the face of democracy) that was that 40% of the scottish electorate had to vote yes...37 point something did... and independence was lost for the time being..... notably a good number of those on the electoral role were dead etc etc and the whole thing was deemed a bit dubious "bratania waves the rules" as i recall...however...bloody civil war??? eh no....not at all.... where did you get that idea?
  9. "what god wants" and "the bravery of being out of range" spring to mind...both off amused to death.... rog waters....
  10. Frosty introduced me to Carmines about 17 years ago...i've had a standing reservation there ever since.... yep food is pretty damn good.... arabiatta, pizza, penne...all very good... his wife also makes some pretty tasty Italian deserts that you should try if available....
  11. i don't think anybody is taking too seriously... ESA (european space agency granted them (glasgow uni) six grand).... u don't buy a whole lot of space stuff (technical term) with that....
  12. floyd gig with 2 guitarists, be it steve renwick, snowy white etc etc.... not to mention dave does a lot of dual and triple gtr track recordings....
  13. Keich! keich! very expressive.... a firm favourite as it can be said with such passion, not to mention that most english people can't pronounce it...
  14. rushed off the presses in the early 80's.... picture of a penguin or something....if i recall.... pretty crap usually...do you remember the cheapskate effort of the bloke with the bent forks taped to his head.... what album was that?
  15. so i guess it was "a bit chilly then...." 'nuff respect dude....
  16. seems to be some confusion about the word desperate... desperate people are not necessarily desperate for 50 quid... somebody who has spent 30 years in a crap job earning fuck all desperately believes they deserve a better life style for their toils... he might find that some of his despair blinds his otherwise, possibly somewhat limited, better judgement.... and secondly...if you are looking for a life style changing sum...why sell a pc? very short term gain... lastly, everybody will fall for somekinda scam sometime in their life...whether it is a 419 effort.... or buying a leather chamois of a bloke on your doorstep for some inflated price... or buying a fitted kitchen at a particular price cos the sale ends tomorrow.... etc etc...
