  1. eric serra's work on Leon springs to mind.... excellent work.... half the movies appeal for me...
  2. ...and you can see the whole episode unfold here... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quLxN3DSqcc
  3. the input impedance into a decent amp is usually 10k's to 100k at least... output impedance of your speaker driver in the keyboard will be a few ohms max... the keyboard audio amp should be able to drive an amp input stage with ease....might sound a bit crap with the keyboard vol wound up to max, so start low... good luck...
  4. a. i think it is well genuine... b. i love the way his gagging/ choking almost compliments the song c. it has got to be the funniest thing i have seen in months... d. that's gotta hurt....
  5. too bad you are never around that neck of the woods incredibledisc.... :o/
  6. very nice.... what's in the cab?
  7. 1224 pretty much top of the range matamp as i understand it... i've got a first lady (c7 with choice of output valves) coming my way some time in september.... matamp stuff is unreal... very different from the usual mainstream guitar amps, very transparent and responds heavily to the individual playing style... i'd be interested to know what you make of the 1224 after a few weeks...
  8. hmmm.... 1. christianity has it's roots in which part of the globe? middle east perhaps.... 2. a fair number of iraqi's are catholic.... just a couple of points of order to avoid the normal polarizing and arab stereo typing associated with such debates...
  9. ok craig.... getting back to your original quote.... that wasn't about 2 o clock on saturday afternoon by any chance.... if it was there were a fair few people trying out guitars or amps around then... how many stores in aberdeen can accomadate 4 people trying out electrics at one time...? i've never heard of this service... again... doesn't sound at all like the r&b i know... mates of mine have been going there since the mid 80's (when they first opened) i've never heard anything like this...
  10. there are two kinds of credit card user, allegedly termed by the credit card company, - the dead beat - the revolver... credit card companies do not like dead beats.... a dead beat is someone who pays their balance off at the end of the month and hence the credit card company earns little to nothing.... the revolver is a good little earner for the credit card company.... they tend to pay the minimum balance and subsequently maintain debt for fucking years.... these people tend to be targeted with all sorts of high apr loans (with varied incentives; like no payments for six months, during which the customer will continue to accrue interest of course)... great for the credit card company...eventual misery for the customer... my advice.... for what it is worth.... if you must take out a card keep yourself on a tight reign..... notably the MD of ACCESS said publicly that he wouldn't use one....
  11. i read today that Guy Kewney was in a bbc reception area having an "Enrico Pallazo" moment as the dude on tv waffled his way through the questions on Guys behalf...
  12. appologies if this has already been posted but... BBC News 24 has mistakenly interviewed a cab driver about the outcome of the Apple Computer versus Apple Corp court case. A confused London cabbie - yet to be identified - was lead into the studio, miced up, sat down, and interviewed live on air by unsuspecting BBC consumer affairs correspondent Karen Bowerman. It would appear that the cabbie was there to collect online expert Guy Kewney, who was supposed to be being interviewed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0cLprNk438 check his expression at t= 6 secs.... priceless...
  13. bought stuff from cooks....they're pretty good..
