transmute... fair point but....my work takes me all over the world...i've seen countries where the poverty is far far worse....and education again is inferior to what is offered in the uk...yet still the kids manage to understand simple things like respect for other people/ property/ etc... i think the difference is here that there are too many insentives for a living a life devoid of responsibility or ambition...as for verbally/physically violent households...surely not all the neds stem from such an environment...

bassist/ guitarist required. when i say bassist/guitarist i mean one person who will play bass for 80 odd % of numbers and guitar for others....or there abouts... we have about 15 numbers of original material and can pull off a few covers. We've been doing studio stuff for over a year and are going to start gigging... music ranges from jazz, rock, metal, funk, blues, weird, not in that order (our last effort included a fusion of flamenco and metal) any age, sex, height, ethnic origin welcome, no mullets* *musicians with mullets will be considered, but should be technically better than musicians with regular hairdo's

I would gladly count myself in the growing number of mullet enthusiasts... just check out the wealth of quality mullets at the site... ...nuff said really

floyd rose trem.... ...a small word of caution... i fitted a floyd rose to a japanese fat strat copy about 12 years back...previously fitted with an actex trem.... fitting the floyd was a doddle... next jam i had noticed that as i played down the neck.. i was was going progressively further out of tune with everybody else... in short the actex bridge was positioned about 10 mil further toward the neck than the floyd and the intonation was well out.... the options were 1. move the trem posts 10mm towards the neck... 2. mod the body to sink the neck 10 mm further into the body... option 2 was simpler... a bloke who worked at R&B was a luthier and charged me about 100 bux to impliment mod 2... he did a damn fine job... but in short the whole exercise was considerably more involved than first envisaged... however the floyd rose is much better trem...

saw the smiths there twice 1983 the first time... i think.... bought tickets for black sabbath...who wre going to play there....but the gig got cancelled...got our money back...deep purple played there...and correct me if i am wrong....but when the stones played the capitol all tickets were sold in under 1 hour....yep...t'was a fine venue....

i used to jam with one of my cats.....no shit.... i'd place a guitar against a table, plug in and leave it....then plug in second guitar and play... said cat would then bite on strings of the guitar propped up against the table....she wasn't particularly good or anything..but certainly the best cat i ever jammed with...not to mention being quite a bizarre experience....

I was going to ask some advice though. I have an old electro-harmonix chorus/vib/flange pedal that's about 20 years old. It runs off the main though... does anyone know if there'd be a way to convert it to run off DC? spellchecker, i'm not familiar with that unit, does it have a valve in its circuitry?
