  5. i'm more excited about john malcovich being in it. it means that even if the movie ends up sucking, it'll be worth watching just for him.

  9. I have the best blooooooos explosion tale. Reading 2002, Chris had buggered off halfway through to catch T(INC) and i stayed for the rest of jon spencer's set, managing to run into Brother John Robb from Goldblade, who remembered me from their aberdeen gig and we had a lengthy chat. It was ace.
  10. scissor sisters was my last purchase. it's awesome and has been on repeat for the last week or so.
  11. if you practice at tom's there's a drumkit in the room and i think it's 2 for cymbal hire. i believe tom also rents out whole kits for gigs and charges at a daily rate.
  12. yeah we've got a big group going too. think there's like 10 or 12 or us. can't wait!
  13. i know for a fact that chris will be excited about this one, and i'd probably go too if i have the cash.
  14. i'll be there. hot damn, when will these two weeks of constant good stuff end so i can get some sleep?
  15. i'm not being up myself, i'm telling it like it is. things that are said on aberdeen-music are mostly unimportant in the grand scheme of things and i do live my life with the feeling that if i'm happy with the way i've done something, regardless of whether it's musical/intellectual/menial then no one's gonna change that. i'm sorry if by having that kind of outlook in life i'm up myself. i just think it's a sign of maturity. on a side note, stuart (jester) said he didn't like projects jonny lucifer was in because 'his voice grates'. jonny didn't respond because it doesn't matter and what one person thinks of him isn't gonna change the way he makes music.
  16. look i'm not out to upset anyone but i'm not gonna contain my opinions just so i don't hurt someone's feelings. if everyone did that on these boards, they'd be a really dull place to be.
  17. no stuart, post the link. i'm interested to hear what she sounds like now because i'll admit it has been some time since i've heard her. emma you seem to have become really indignant of the fact that i criticised your singing but it is just an opinion. i love pop music as much as i love rock so it's silly to just pass my opinion of you off as me having a different taste in music or whatever. but i'll listen to your new song with an open mind and i may even eat my words if i like it. i certainly won't be afraid to admit if i do like it, and i hope that when you come to see my at open mic, that you too keep an open mind and don't go in there with the pre-conceived idea not to like me based on the fact that i've said i didn't particularly like your voice.
