  1. Re: Re: Re: Why is everyone wearing... I already have my "Emo Sucks" t-shirt. Only ten pounds to advertise your disgust.
  2. Either way. A good suit is suave as it gets, hence why I spend a lot of time in them. Emo scum have stolen jumpers, I'll be damned if they make it "Emo" to wear a suit, if they even think about making leather Emo.....
  3. Oh fucking hell! Suits are Emo now?! Is nothing safe, first i couldn't wear a jumper without being "Emo", now I can't wear my suits! Are socks the next thing to be "Emo"??
  4. Keep us informed, im on the edge of my fucking seat.
  5. A Tribe Called Quest - Scenario De La Soul - Say No Go (I'm digging 80's hip-hop at the moment) The Cramps - Like a Bad Girl Should Rage Against the Machine - People of the Sun Aerosmith - Angel
  6. I love that phrase. I use it to describe everyone when someone asks me if I like a particular band, even if I love them. I think Coldplay are the absolute personification of the phrase.
  7. I downloaded a few Rat Daddy MP3's to fully refresh memory, even though I've seen them about 3 times. How fantasticly wonderful is "Rock Bastard", it's such an anthem. It features two of my favourite song lines ever created - 1: "Now you can shoot your mouth behind my back, I'll still rock you like a heart attack". 2: "I've been meat-eating, Vodka drinking all my life, and I love it" Genius! On top of Radio Lucifer, I also want to see the Tijuana Switchblades how I'm sure have deliberately managed to thus far schedule their shows on the most inconvienient nights possible for me. The Mp3's however sound divine, so I will do my best to get to their next gig, even if it means missing my own wedding (which is unlikely as I'm not getting married)
  8. That's actually true. My previous post was unfair on them. They might not be musically fantastic, but in a world that's full of horrible, sad, depressing and dull "Emo", it's good to know people are still making fun music.
  9. I read 'The Face' cause I'm a poser. It has a music section.
  10. 40 OZ to Freedom by Sublime is hugely underated. Infact the entire band is looked over just because people assume that because they have a "ska-punk" sound on some songs that they sound like Less Than Jake or some other nonsense. They are so much more however, they do Reggae,Dub,Dancehall,Rock and Roll,Punk..... and Bradley Nowell can play the guitar like nobody's business. Oh....and further to previous comments, Generation Terrorists is the most underated (and best) Manics album in my opinion.
  11. Elvis Presley - Run On (Trad. Gospel) The Supersuckers - Cowboy Song (Thin Lizzy) Sublime - Guava Jelly/This Train (Bob Marley) Metallica - Tuesday's Gone (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
  12. I can why people could like like Busted, catchy tunes, easy to dress up like, highly marketable good-looking guys. McFly however are just utter garbage, their song is just a horrible, horrible song centred round the worlds most cliched "surf" riff. Why is it that these new poppy-rock punk bands think it gives them credibility to be influenced by the Beach Boys. The Beach Boys were a lunchbox band, however catchy they were. The song isn't even well produced or played, they made so many mistakes when they were doing it live on Top of the Pops. And as for the Lost Prophets, dont even start me on that nonsense. I had to endure about 25 mins of them playing in school in a class today, every song is the same. Vile.
  13. Oh that's made my day, Rat Daddy are fucking superb, I've seen them 2-3 times now I think, Psycho supported them last time I saw them. I'm definitelly there.
  14. I'm gutted I missed this now:moody: Radio Lucifer and a band that sounds like old Manics. If I don't make it to the next RL gig, I will be deeply annoyed.
  15. The last 5 is far too many to work out. The last two I bought/recieved were - The Cramps - Big Beat from Badsville Rocket From the Crypt - Scream Dracula, Scream! They not only Rock, but they Roll also.
  16. I've PM'd Mel back but I don't know how likely I am to get a reply before tonight so could Jonny or anyone else in "the know" inform me of the time situation for Radio Lucifers set tonight.
  17. First thing that popped into my head was Pete Townsend solo album.....
  18. I can imagine the gay and black police officers were falling over themselves laughing
  19. Top notch stuff. Rock n Roll may still yet be saved.
  20. Please tell me he didnt actually use this line in the rap Job ain't what it used to be; it's full of blacks and gays / It was just us white homies in the really good ole' days What was he thinking when he was writing that?
  21. Miss Black America They've played in Aberdeen a couple of times now and I think they rock the casbah, they're an slightly-Indie rock/Punk band with fairly heavy Holy Bible era Manic Street Preachers overtones and they write very, very good lyrics which are on their website along with some MP3's, inlcuding a few very good acoustic ones from and XFM session. Oh and Sublime, everyone who likes music and wants to listen to something that doesn't drone on about 'slitting their throat with a paper cut from a love letter on a Tuesday' (waits for comment from disgruntled emo fan that features the word 'kewlerz') and likes Reggae and Punk should love them.
  22. Blink 182 are the kind of band you listen to when your 13. They sing about things that you find funny when your 13. They wrote some very catchy songs a few years ago but when they turned all serious it just ruined every thread of appeal their music had. If your a joke band don't try and go all serious and emo, it just makes you sound awful and boring.
