  1. Having been to / and played at the first two Sunday Session nights I'm well impressed with the variation of acts and the atmosphere. The first night alone seemed have drummed up a good bit of interest making a busier 2nd night (hope this continues to snowbal) and for free-ninety-nine, nobody can complain about the price!! You need to get the guy that sang "Old MacDonald" and 'You're a bitch' on for a full set one month - He's a legend!!
  2. Details on the picture; to make any requests reply to this thread, or comment on our myspace profile. Cheers MySpace.com - Onion Terror - Aberdeen, UK - Punk / Rock / Ska - www.myspace.com/onionterror

  9. Cheers for the feedback folks, was an ace gig, had good fun watching all the bands and it was a pretty decent turnout which was also cool!!! Crowd interaction was a bit like pushing water uphill with most of the bar, but we love that. I can't believe how many people have NO IDEA about the black spot, I thought Treasure Island was a must-read!?!? I've had to explain it a fair few times this weekend. Black Spot (Treasure Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
  10. Hate to break the news to everyone but it's not that good... Takes far, FAR, too long to get in to the good stuff, although I guess it's good to build up the characters a bit. Downey Jr plays his role pretty well, although it's the typecast of himself he's been playing for decades. For an action film there wasn't actually that much action, and what there was wasn't amazing / memorable. The bad-guys aren't particularly evil or scary. Some good jokes peppered through the film. Spent the whole film waiting to hear the intro of the Ozzy version of Iron Man, but this didn't happen. Stick around after the credits because there's a 20 second skit that tees up sequels (and will give all Marvel fans a hard-on). Finally, when he's flying, his posture is similar to that of a transvestite / drag queen - i.e. not very super-hero like. All in all, after looking at a few review sites online I can not believe I've not seen any particularly bad ones as it's NOT an amazing superhero film like Batman Gegins, Spiderman 1/2 or X-Men. 6/10.

Josef Fritzl's been commisioned to write an autobiography in the hope that it will give everyone an insight to is mind... it's tipped to be a best cellar. Got his "business card" e-mailed to me at work yesterday, can't find it online though. Went along the lines of: "Cellar conversions and soundproofing specialist, A 'family business' established 25 years"

Put some chips on for my tea the other night, went through the house and forgot about them. 20 minutes later I went back to my kitchen and they were gone... last time I ever buy McCann oven chips!!
  17. Due to the 10EW pullout we're now 'playing last in a line-up of bands' at this year's Fudge Award show!!! 2 New songs, lots of sing-a-longs and all the professional talking / banter you'd expect at any of our shows. Tunnels, friday night, 3/5, dress to impress!
  18. Still spaces left for this, I registered the other night - running for The Anchor / Leukaemia Unit at ARI (Ward 16). Gratuitous guilt-trip sponsor link to follow.
  19. Just grab a word of phrase from something you love. My second favourite part about 'Onion Terror' is getting loads of texts every time The Day Today is re-run on the telly. The favourite part is people who can't quite remember it and come out with pish like Scary Onion, Tomatoe Fury, Onion Bajji etc...
  20. See how many trademarked fonts you can spot in that poster. Other upcoming shows: 10 April: Shmu Radio Acoustic 99.8 FM 3 May: Antiproduct Support (Moorings) 4 July: Schools Out Bash (Tunnel 2)
  21. I don't know what the big fuss is about Friday nights, I've started going to them again pver the past few months and they've been shit hot. The DJ will play just about anything you request - providing it's relatively known, seeing as it is a Friday - and other than the gratuitous carpet complaints (lifting your toes up before your heels means you don't stick to the floor) my biggest gripe would be the ridiculous cost of going there. 4/5 to get in is OK, but because there's already hundreds coming through the doors why not make it two quid and attract more people, which would make more money from the next issue... Drinks prices, don't know whether this is because I mostly drink in the Moorings & TKs/Exo but in Moshulu anything other than flat beer in the plastic cups is vastly overpriced!
  22. Starfall have clearly written the opening song for that video...
