  1. Eeek, that's pretty disturbing...although somehow kinda sweet too, possibly down to the teeny mice. The animal lover in me got all upset though, the mother mouse probably won't go near the babies now cause they'll smell of people. Junky people at that
  2. So is this only for Snafu employees or for anyone working in a bar/restaurant?
  3. My only problem with Snafu is the lay out, which obviously can't be changed. It can get pretty squished at the bar when people are trying to walk between the toilets and dance floor. Lovely place, friendly staff, good music and I get to kick my boyfriend's ass at foozball too, winner!
  4. Huzzah! Very excited about this King Creosote in the Tree will bring back heaps of good memories
  5. Good luck My boyfriend's band were going to be playing at Wizard but it coincides with his dad's 50th birthday - meaning a holiday to Spain - so they pulled out. Tunnels is a great wee place though, has a lovely cosy atmosphere, you'll love it I'm sure.
  6. But if they were selling condoms for 1 that'd be fine? Fuck it, condoms, tampons and pregnancy tests should all be free anyway, at the very least they should be VAT free. It's no wonder we've got the highest rate of teen pregnancy when you can't get free condoms from the family planning clinic without taking a ticket and getting a lecture from some bitter 60 year old woman. Meh.
  7. It's the wait at the bar which pisses me off, I've been stood there for 30 mins while the barstaff chat to their mates and have no clue about who has been waiting the longest. Pain in the arse. And the fact that I keep bumping into my friends baby sister there. She's 15 and yet I still get ID-ed at 22, what the fuck?
  8. That's what I was wondering...holy crap! Maybe it was cooking wine, my work has mahoosive boxes of the stuff.
  9. Seriously...what did you expect if you gave Pete a cricket bat? Queen of Fudge was a fix! Amy should have won, she looked fabulous last night! Not that Biz's attire wasn't pretty awesome too.
  10. The concept is disgusting, even if it is fake. A miscarriage or abortion isn't something which should be taken lightly. Yuck.
  11. it's probably a one off, doesn't feature in the new brochure as far as I remember
  12. Congratulations! The photos are lovely, almost make me wanna get married one day
  13. CSS are good live, but I think they need a small venue for you to get the most out of them, I saw them supporting Gwen Stefani last summer and they were totally lost in the SECC. Didn't help that they were playing when everyone was coming in because the time on the tickets was the start time, not the time the doors opened. Could be a good gig though, worth a look.
  14. I had an amazing time, I'd never been before and I'm so glad I did before Kef closed. Epoc Live were awesome, I'm kinda gutted it was the last one in Kef, I should have started going sooner
  15. There's normally a gig on Saturday nights though, isn't there? So although it might be free before 12, if there's a gig on you rarely get in there much before then. I've been charged 5 on Saturdays on a number of occasions even after a gig has finished. I'm not complaining, I don't mind paying to get in, especially on Saturdays, I really like the mix of people with Air Guitar in the back room and Adventures in the front. It's an interesting blend
  16. I sent the penguin footage to my mum and she emailed back 'Aww, that's amazing! David Attenbourgh must be gutted he didn't get that ' Bless her...had to explain the date to her as well. *edited* I've seen a Zelda movie trailer spoof before and I always get so excited There's a fair amount of effort put into that one though, had me going fora bit too.
  17. I think most locksmiths have an engraving service these days. Or a jeweler would probably be able to do it. Custom artwork you're more likely to find online
  18. By that reasoning, the whole thing is self perpetuating. If you go against the majority then you're asking for it, is that what you're saying? Some people don't want to look and live the same way everyone else does, can you imagine how incredible dull the world would be if they did? Why the hell should everyone confirm just so they don't get beaten up? It doesn't matter what you're wearing, if someone doesn't like the look of you, you're in for it regardless. I got hassle from a perma tanned blonde lass last night for no reason other than the fact that I have red bits in my hair and had dark eyeshadow on. I agree with Cranial, it's not any different from preppys and grunge kids having it out or fuck, even mods and rockers. But for some reason the idea of the various 'alternative' groups turning on each other annoys me more than the idea of thick as shit pikeys starting on a goth. You'd think everyone would know better than that.
  19. Done! I adored that place as a kid, used to go all the time and got to feed the orphaned lambs
  20. Ah, it was 2.50 when I left in August, mebbe it was a last ditch attempt to turn profit
  21. Ah whit?! They've still got the old tables and chairs in there, if anything needed updating it was them. Aww, I miss the place, it was my old safetly blanket in the form of a building. I'm going to make one last ditch attempt to point out the bar was reasonable. 2.50 for a pint of cider, tennents, best or guiness. You're 2.65 for cider in Moshulu these days Ah fuck it
  22. computer game characters, which a strict 'no lara crofts' allowed. It's easy too, if you can't think of one, go in your normal clothes, put a green diamond over your head and go as a Sim
  23. I was feeling pretty apathetic about the Boosh until Saturday night when I sat and watched a bunch of episodes before going out. Can't remember the name of it, but the one with the Crimp Off in series 3 had me and my mate falling about the place and put me in such an awesome mood for the night. Julian is far superior to Noel. In looks, character and he gets all the best lines too. I would happily marry Howard Moon. I hate when people turn round and slate stuff when it gets popular. I love when something I like gets more coverage, it means I can get excited about it with more people. Flight of the Conchords is a prime example.
  24. It's cheesy as hell but I like the idea of it. I've worked places that have a similar vibe and you get that 'we're cooler than the customer' thing in loads of workplaces, it's kinda like Clerks in that respect. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy. When the Lemon Tree went down the pan I was dying for someone to help me organise a giant gig on the roof. Sadly this is the real world And Rex Manning...brilliant. Oh Rexy, you're so sexy!
  25. So I'm a slow starter but I'm utterly befuddled by level 4 - the one about 'speak for yourself, and this letter is clear'. Is is actually a case of saying something aloud picking up on something phonetically or what? Gah. **edit** Got it! Yas! It's tragic how happy moving up a level made me
