i had THE greatest slippers ever- purple with a little sheep on each one! they were great until i wore them to a pyjama party at the union and they got wrecked that is.

you can never be sure if a thread's just taking the piss or not but that said, it's just a message board. i'm pretty sure people don't apply the same grammar etc. to a letter or essay...

as far as irish pubs go, i've only ever been to o'neills and i doubt i'll be going back... that place creeps me out!

last year i moved from here to dundee uni and didn't really worry about missing friends etc. when i got there it was ace- met new people and all was good. then i started getting bored and missing my boyfriend at the time and the new friends i'd made in aberdeen since meeting him. money also became a MAJOR issue... now i live at home with my parents and commute to uni everyday- sometimes i actually regret moving home because i don't have the same freedom. in my experience, i didn't know the right choice for me until i made the wrong one but you just learn from it i suppose. just don't forget that if you're unhappy somewhere, there's always an alternative.

two of my flatmates went to see hanson in glasgow (last week maybe?)... they seemed to enjoy it!

It may just be me being stupid but I found that The Ring didn't really explain everything as well as Ring- kind of the same as The Grudge...

Blink 182- their older stuff was alright to be fair but now they're just boring. HIM Iron Maiden- never liked them. Less Than Jake

I have to admit that i haven't been to many gigs but seeing Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall and Chimaira at QMU (Glasgow 2004) was awesome! I'll never forget the shoe moshing or the guy jumping off the balcony into the crowd! Seeing Ok-Go (Lemon Tree 2003) was also quite good because of the whole atmosphere!

rhino has a couple of Katatonia CDs (possibly Viva Emptiness and Tonight's Decision?)... anyhoo, he left one of them in my flat last year- they're alright, mellow definately but not really my cup of tea.

turps n white spirit are pretty much the same when it comes to removing paint- they both work for removing oil paint so quite possibly it'd work for wood stain. just dont use too much of it if you decide to try and if you have a cut on your foot... i just wouldn't!
