It wouldn't be much of a strike if it was done at the most convenient time for everyone.

Doing it now makes no difference First will still react the same, they don't care.

I know that of course. But alienating the people that depend on you because you're feeling greedy for what, the 3rd year in a row, is just taking the piss. It's not Aberdeen unless there's a First bus strike at least once a year.

Spoken to a few union guys about this today and most drivers have chosen to strike because First are attempting to scrap paid breaks, which they've always had to make-up for their shorter working day compared to Stagecoach. Most drivers are actually pretty happy with the proposed 1% pay rise, or at least that's the impression that I get.

Not really sure how that is "taking the piss."

I don't know what she is saying it is not that clear all I am hear is 3 unusual beeps that not usually heard and then she says something I have only been out in it once with someone and they heard it as well and that is miles away from where I usually hear it. I think the person is repeating theirself. No vehicle in sight and every time. I hear it gets louder.

Only heard at night, I have tried googling it and have had no luck next time I hear it I want to go out in it but I am afraid It may be aliens or the apocolypse. There is nowhere for it to come from except the sky.

I am pretty confident that it's nowhere near that. Their basic salary is less than Stagecoach, which isn't even £19k.

Well, it certainly used to be less than Stagecoach. I could be wrong. I would be completely shocked if it was £25k given what Stagecoach pay.

Apparently (and a few bus drives have confirmed this) many drivers go to Stagecoach first for the training, because it's better, then apply for jobs with First because the pay is much better.

Also, bummed I can't use my cineworld card in Belmont :( I just don't go because I have an unlimited card, but it would be nice to be allowed to use it in both places. Oh well!
