GordonDuthieMusic
Thanks Eupraxia, this piece of artwork - which was inspired by the urban legend that elements of Bram Stoker's Dracula were inspired by Slains Castle - will also be on the back cover of the album: Also thanks to Stroopy121 for liking the last video I posted on here.

Lemonade
I think the songs are alright, the production is crazy though. Not good crazy. All those electronic drums and weird noises do not go with acoustic folk music.I'll wait for "City And Shire Unplugged" if you don't mind. GordonDuthieMusic
An acoustic/songwriter album is on the roadmap for the future. I have started working on the next album and I have recently invested in some high specification production equipment. I was at Steve Mason's studio for a day a few weeks ago and learned lots on how he produces music. Wanting this album I'm working on to go up a level in regards to production and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
MikeyEB
Are you going to be playing any live shows, like 'an Evening with Gordon Duthie' where you could play some songs and discuss your travels around Scotland, maybe tie it in with some of your artwork?
GordonDuthieMusic
It's something that I have thought about. I think I'm going to do a Google+ hangout - which will be streamed on YouTube - where the topics of conversation will be issues surrounding Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire/Scotland (plenty of those just now), a Q&A session about the album and a couple of live performances. Had a few requests to do this and I'm keen to test out this new function. It's also a good way to engage with those outside this area and to understand their perceptions of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire which is something that I am interested in.
Eupraxia
The Q & A session sounds absolutely wonderful. If you stream the Q & A online, does that mean you'd accept questions via email? I no longer live in Aberdeenshire, y'see. Though I would quite probably invest in the trip back home to attend.I'd love to be able to learn your songs, too. Is there ever likely to be a Gordon Duthie guitar tablature book on the horizion? Tabs and lyrics, please.
Flights
Gordon, I have a few questions for you. When is the physical copy of Shire and City hitting the streets? Will I be able to attend the Q & A session in person? Are you planning on releasing Gordon Duthie T-shirts and other merchandise?
GordonDuthieMusic
Ten people can participate in the actual Google+ hangout, so I guess it would be on a first come-first serve basis to be part of that. If the hangout is full, others can watch the session live on YouTube or Google+. I would take questions from those outside the hangout on Google+, Twitter and Facebook. At the moment there are no plans to write up any tabs as I am busy producing the next album but if you want to know any chords for specific songs, give me a shout. All lyrics can be found at: http://www.gordonduthie.com/music
GordonDuthieMusic
Flights, I will be streaming the hangout from my home studio, but I can give you a priority slot to be one of those who are part of the actual hangout rather than spectating. My audio engineer is currently producing a Red Book standard master CD, not sure when I will get it though as he is very busy. The artwork is all set-up though, so it should be released about a week after I get the master CD. A couple of t-shirts and a poster will also be available in the next few weeks, we have been working on this for a while.

paime
Put me down for your google+ discussion. Do you have an agenda you could share with us? I'd like to do a bit of prep work before i attend, if indeed there are any places for me (flights you lucky VIP sod!)Are you releasing your stuff on vinyl as well, Gordon? I think the crackle of vinyl would really go well with your voice.
The Milner
Gordon, im sorry, i think your music is terrible, absolutely terrible, but fair play for the effort.
GordonDuthieMusic
Paime, I will also reserve a space for you, as I said it's first come-first serve and I appreciate your interest in the project. I will get an agenda together soon and a date finalised. Was thinking a Sunday night, just because most people are free at that time? I don't think I'll be releasing a Vinyl version any time soon, but it's something I wouldn't rule out in the future.
