Thanks Eupraxia, this piece of artwork - which was inspired by the urban legend that elements of Bram Stoker's Dracula were inspired by Slains Castle - will also be on the back cover of the album:

Also thanks to Stroopy121 for liking the last video I posted on here.

Did not expect an electric toe-tapper from that preview image.

That cowbell is crisp!

An acoustic/songwriter album is on the roadmap for the future. I have started working on the next album and I have recently invested in some high specification production equipment. I was at Steve Mason's studio for a day a few weeks ago and learned lots on how he produces music. Wanting this album I'm working on to go up a level in regards to production and I'm looking forward to the challenge.

It's something that I have thought about. I think I'm going to do a Google+ hangout - which will be streamed on YouTube - where the topics of conversation will be issues surrounding Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire/Scotland (plenty of those just now), a Q&A session about the album and a couple of live performances. Had a few requests to do this and I'm keen to test out this new function. It's also a good way to engage with those outside this area and to understand their perceptions of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire which is something that I am interested in.

The Q & A session sounds absolutely wonderful.

If you stream the Q & A online, does that mean you'd accept questions via email? I no longer live in Aberdeenshire, y'see. Though I would quite probably invest in the trip back home to attend.

I'd love to be able to learn your songs, too. Is there ever likely to be a Gordon Duthie guitar tablature book on the horizion? Tabs and lyrics, please.

Ten people can participate in the actual Google+ hangout, so I guess it would be on a first come-first serve basis to be part of that. If the hangout is full, others can watch the session live on YouTube or Google+. I would take questions from those outside the hangout on Google+, Twitter and Facebook.

At the moment there are no plans to write up any tabs as I am busy producing the next album but if you want to know any chords for specific songs, give me a shout. All lyrics can be found at: http://www.gordonduthie.com/music

Flights, I will be streaming the hangout from my home studio, but I can give you a priority slot to be one of those who are part of the actual hangout rather than spectating. My audio engineer is currently producing a Red Book standard master CD, not sure when I will get it though as he is very busy. The artwork is all set-up though, so it should be released about a week after I get the master CD. A couple of t-shirts and a poster will also be available in the next few weeks, we have been working on this for a while.

Put me down for your google+ discussion. Do you have an agenda you could share with us? I'd like to do a bit of prep work before i attend, if indeed there are any places for me (flights you lucky VIP sod!)

Are you releasing your stuff on vinyl as well, Gordon? I think the crackle of vinyl would really go well with your voice.

Paime, I will also reserve a space for you, as I said it's first come-first serve and I appreciate your interest in the project. I will get an agenda together soon and a date finalised. Was thinking a Sunday night, just because most people are free at that time? I don't think I'll be releasing a Vinyl version any time soon, but it's something I wouldn't rule out in the future.
