Scootray
BBC - Newsbeat - Music - Listen to the new Bond soundtrackIt sounds awful. Jack White especially doesn't compliment this song at all.At least the film looks like it will be awesome!
Chris
As a song I quite like it. It's not a bond theme though, still it's better than Madonna's effort.
Scootray
Yeah, what I meant was it's an awful Bond Song. It's not too bad as a song itself, although Jack White's voice is like taking my nutsack to a cheese grater. Every time I just think he's about to start singing "Doorbell".Maybe it'll grow on me. Lemonade
I'm not impressed, but hopefully it's a grower. It had big shoes to fill following Chris Cornell's fucking brilliant effort, but it's not the worst 've ever heard (step forward Madona / Garbage / Tina Turner) it's definitely got Bond-y elements, but I suppose with the new grittier direction the Bond films are taking they want a scuzzier sound to match it. I don't know if scuzzier is a word but it just seemed to fit.
Paranoid Android
Personally I don't really care if it 'sounds like a bond them' I'll just judge it as song in it's own right. Judging from that short clip, I quite like it but sounds a little like the sort of song Jack White could write in his sleep.
Metarie
I was amused that Jack White threw a wobbly about it being used for a Coke Zero advert, when about 2 years ago he wrote a song specifically for Coca-Cola.Don't think much of the song, as a Jack White effort it's safe and a bit of a no brainer, an album filler. As a Bond theme it's pretty shite.

Alkaline
It sounds bad regardless of whether it's a bond theme. Where are Duran Duran when you need them!

Where are Duran Duran when you need them! That was a classic, I always thought "Living Daylights" by A-Ha was a belting Bond theme too.Cristopher Walkens hair in View to a Kill is awesome to the max. Tooms
A View To A Kill all the way!! Such a good tune, although that wasn't the title song it was the credits song.Does anyone know of any other artists/bands signed on to write/record songs for this new film? Guest
This is really the type of thing Jack White churns out without even thinking. It's not terrible, for a bond theme its allright (not a big fan of them, side from A-ha and Wings)

Alkaline
The 1980's, where they belong.Do not question the 80s. It is a much maligned era where there was absolutely tons of good music, Duran Duran included. Don't make me make a list *shakes fist*i'll defend 80's music to the hilt, a lot of cracking bands although a lot of the music sounds a bit dated now. but it was in general an awful time to grow up in. duran duran's best work came in the latter period of the decade, especially 'big thing' such an overlooked record.the new bond theme is very disappointing especially as the last one was so strong. yes i agree its the kind of thing jack white could do in his sleep, but thats not the point! its a bond theme for crying out loud, put some effort into it man!!! jack white is getting complacent methinks! MikeyEB
The 1980's, where they belong. No 80's, no "Stand and Deliver"Jan. I think I love both standing and delivering almost as much as Adam Ant did."I'm the dandy highwayman that you're afraid to mention, I spend my cash on looking FLASH! and grabbing your attention"Genius. You should hear it on vinyl.
