Guest Steven Dedalus
It has some lovely moments on it, and it was nice that they were sort of stretching out and doing some thing new......Ok, I'm sorry, I can't justify what i just said. "Doing something new"? it's an acousitc album, ferchrissakes! And it had two collabortations with the Fun Lovin' Criminals on it. McCullough described them as "The best band in the world."He was wrong. But the title track and "Rust" are faily decent....

Bigsby
Even though I'm opening myself up for a world of pain, there's a really strong case to be made for early Simple Minds...New Gold Dream is great.
Guest Steven Dedalus
New Gold Dream is great.it really is! And not enough people are prepared to stand up and say, "I like Simple Minds!" just becuase they have done everything humanly possible to make themselves completely unlikeable."New Gold Dream" was the end really....although there's a few songs on "Sparkle in the Rain" that are quite good. Guest Steven Dedalus
He was "on top of the world".That was a terrible reference to the England World cup thing he did with the Spice Girls.Officially the moment when they lost it. framheim
as alan has ventured into the territory that we all feared to tread with jimmy shand i'll pipe up with the corries. a huge influence on bonnie prince billy no less and although i don't own any of their albums i think their influence should be recognised in this list and i can't believe i forgot the proclaimers. who are still brilliant. Someone Somewhere in Summertime is majestic.J & MCPrimal Scream (last album was just going through the motions though)KLF deserve a mention despite not really being a band, and only half Scottish.
